You would know better than I, but I don't think his boss has been the same for the entire length of his employment. Structure of ownership changed, but the principal parties involved have been the same for his entire tenure. Then, I guess I should have asked, has Preller reported to the same person the entire length of his employment? (Assuming it would have been someone other than Seidler)

Then don't. But it's never "meaningless." I'm still excited, but cautiously optimistic that the signings will end up helping the Padres themselves win a world series in one way or another. They either help your team or help facilitate trades to help your team, as was the case with Darvish, Musgrove, Snell, Cronenworth, etc.

Just curious. Who is Will Holder? The blurb is from ESPN, not from him.

Leo De Vries will begin his career in Lake Elsinore. The Padres continue to be very aggressive with early roster placements. The Storm will be fun to watch with Dillon Head and De Vries.

De Vries strikes out 3 times last night, but the two times he put the ball in play, he was quite productive.
Triple and a single, with 2 RBI with each hit.
4-13 in his first 3 games.
Let the development continue.
