I'd like to think it's more about what else is going on presently is a lot more relevant/important.

I absolutely hope that you are correct in your analysis/opinion.
However, IF he is now OK to play, there really isn't any reason to not let the fans know. It would be good to generate some positive publicity for the program.
I've come to the conclusion that the best available 5 option GTR would be the big Swede up the freeway. Add J. Morgan for sure, if he gets a waiver.

The silence on NM's status is becoming deafening. It seems ominous, to me. Given the earlier timelines, I am starting to think that No News is Bad News. But there's also no reason for anyone to give any news about Nate's health. There's no season until October (at best, one can argue about that elsewhere) so I don't see Nate or the school would both with making any statements now. In fact, I think the opposite... any news to come out now to me would seem more likely to be that Nate would not be back next season.

If Nathan was willing and readily agreed to the release why wouldn't you. His fans care about him and are concerned. It might also help recruiting.

Because we're an extremely select group of people who are obsessed with SDSU and SDSU athletics. To the other 99.99% of the population, this stuff is utterly meaningless compared to everything else going on.

This would be my 10th post (or something like that) in 5 years. I watched the NBC local sportscast this evening and they interviewed Yanni....He expressed his obvious disappointment not competing in MM, and even stated that they as a team, believed they could beat anyone in the country. He also hinted that "everyone was coming back ".....He never mentioned NM by name, but was inferred.... I am really going to miss Yanni....Perfect playing the 4, with excellent size and athleticism and very underrated skill set....wasn't afraid to mix it up and appeared to be a total team guy with no baggage....mature beyond his years.... Ohhhhhh, what could've been!

Does Nathan have planned recovery program for the Spring into Fall Well, he has doctors... so the default is a pretty emphatic yes.

Based on all accounts he was going to play in the ncaa tourney. Players/coaches in recent weeks have continued to say the same. Nathan/his family owe us nothing.

I heard Dutcher interviewed on 1360AM about two weeks ago just as all the brain-eating zombies started coming out in force. He said Mensah was doing fine and they expected that he would've played in the tournament. He added that he was expected to have a full recovery and be 100% healthy come fall/winter. There was little, if any, equivocation. I think, at this point, Nathan's health is a non-issue.

From SB Nation June 2017 on his Medical Retirement. All cases are different, but Nathan and Bosch both have/had a blood clot was discovered in there lungs. SDSU may be a little over protective, given Dwayne Polee's medical issues as well. www.sbnation.com/nba/2017/6/2/15733374/chris-bosh-illness-career-ending-retirement-comeback-still-possibleWhat is Bosh’s illness?Bosh initially missed games in the 2014-15 season after a blood clot was discovered in his lungs. After being cleared to play to begin the 2015-16 season, Bosh was once again sidelined after a blood clot was discovered in his leg. Though he was optimistic that he would be ready for the 2016-17 season, Bosh failed a physical exam to begin this season and ultimately missed all of it. Blood clots aren’t a life-threatening health problem if treated correctly. But for Bosh, one of the problems is that most doctors won’t allow a patient to do something like play professional sports while on blood thinners, a required medication when suffering from the illness. Does the NBA’s ruling mean Bosh’s career is over? No, the ruling matters mostly for the Heat, who can now enter free agency without Bosh’s $25.3 million salary for next season (and $26.8 million for the 2018-19 season) looming over them. The Heat, Bosh, and the player’s union had already reached a tentative agreement in May that would allow all parties involved to move on.

Guy hasn't gone a full year without breaking something or having a serious injury. Much like AG. But he should at least be healthy now. Hard to break a finger or get banged up in this mess. There's no reason for Nate to disclose his status. All that matters is Dutch & the coaching staff are aware of it. I'm sure they're communicating it to potential recruits who ask.
