Not bad considering how many were panicking and claiming "we're not linked with anyone" and "we haven't made any offers" and "why haven't we offer X or Y"!! I think our roster looks pretty damn good for a couple years.
Love the addition of Watson, and if we can get Izundu this will be an incredibly deep team. Scrimmages at the JAM are going to be intense!

Izundu for 1 year and then Leonard Allen for 2 years. It gives Allen another year to better his game.
Allen 2016 Stats: 14.6 PPG, 8.7RPG 3.5 BlocksPG. FG Shooting 60% FT Shooting 72%

No rush if we can get a better player due to this Watson transfer plus Gil Caesar is a stud so it could bring in better recruits then Izundu or Allen. The whole dynamic has changed.

I'd take Izundu right now, yes better big men graduate transfer could occur but Izundu is good enough to play 20 minutes for us and help defensively.
As for Allen it's clear the staff doesn't think he is worth a scholarship as anything other than a very last resort, we will need to get a big or 2 in 2017 class.

I like Izundu if we can free up another scholarship lets say if Williams would transfer. They need to go all in on a elite 5 transfer or 2017 HS recruit.Daniel Giddens would be worth talking to now.

Dominik Olejniczak 7ft available and Evan Maxwell 6-10 are on Espn's top ten but both have to sit out a year as well as Giddens. But these three centers are better than any center that has stepped on the floor at SDSU ever.

That is absolutely not true, Giddens was straight up bad as a freshman, he is a big time project. Olejniczak advanced stats are very interesting but he'd take up a scholarship and not be able to play this year so it is very unlikely that happens. Maxwell seems decent offensively but can't rebound at all, or blocks shots, probably a completely unathletic plodder.

Valentine Izundu will visit UNLV said his AAU coach, Chris Gaston. He plans to visit San Diego St shortly. Gaston said: “It’s an opportunity for playing time right away. Stephen Zimmerman Jr. is going to the NBA so they need someone to come in and get a fresh start.”
I doubt he wants to play on a rebuilding UNLV team versus a first place MW club? Fresno is over the limit right now, so they would have to find space to land Izundo. If it's PT, UNLV provides that option.
Life is never simple but I think that SDSU is a lock for Izundo.

2016 team needs an experienced 5(Izundu played in the PAC -against some quality 5's) that can play D and rebound plus be a positive for GPA . He will be one and done IF we can sign him , so that opens up scholarship for a 5 for 2017 . Sign a guy that needs to sit a year does not help the 2016 team ,do we have some additional options for 2017? at the 5 .
As pointed out, if a lot of PT is the key then UNLV is the place to go but wonder if playing on a team that does not look to be heading toward MM for his senior year( WSU also was lower level in their conference and that gets old ) is a bright decision for Izundu but then maybe he wants to be a star and a pro career ?Things do get tight numbers wise if Malik comes back and we sign Izundu - 12 players ? Does Jalen red shirt or ...... ?
not a lock until he signs .

Has anybody heard when he will have his visit? Zeigler's article on the Watson commitment said he's expected to visit this week. Coach Fish is on vacation for another week so I would've guessed he'd visit next week so he can meet with Coach, but maybe not.

Has anybody heard when he will have his visit? Yes, will be here this weekend.
Although his coach said he'll visit UNLV I get the feeling he'll commit over the weekend if all goes well. Which it should.
The cherry on next year's sundae!

Considering they have nobody on their team that's above 6'10, and those they do have are more PFs than centers EXCEPT Cage, yea, that makes sense.
