Less than zero sense? You have no basketball IQ. How many big shots has he hit for us this year? A lot. Kell must've banged your girlfriend or something, the way you bash him. Sheesh. Sure, Kell has hit some huge shots for us this year and is one of the key reasons for our 1-loss conference record. However, aztecdan isn't dismissing that fact, he stated in this post and a previous one as well, that Kell was "horrible" tonight. He had 1-2 more TO's than he should have had, which is not great. But he definitely did not have a "horrible" night. They scored a total of 4 points off his TO's which is about 2 more than you'd typically expect or hope during a game, given how often he handles the ball. However, he shot great & help carry us offensively while not making stupid fouls & putting them on the line. His eFG% was 65% - 13 points in just 10 shots, which is extremely effective. Only Chol was better (4 on 2 shots). Plus, he only made 1 TO in the 2nd half. If Kell had 2 less TO's he'd have had a GREAT game, but you can hope for 1-2 fewer TO's among most of our team last night. The fact he shot so well helped make up for his errors. With his TO's his great shooting was reduced to an OK game. But horrible game overall? No way.
Kell has turned the ball over a lower rate than anyone else on the team during conference play except Win & Sky, who have the lowest. Win & Kell have more TO's because they touch the ball & are responsible for more of the offense.
The Kell bashing is really getting old. He's been as good as we have in conference play, and last night wasn't any different. He's a terrific player.

Hey man, I never said nor do I personally believe he is horrible. I'm the messenger in this case, sticking up for another poster who claimed he had a "horrible" night, that's all.

Hey man, I never said nor do I personally believe he is horrible. I'm the messenger in this case, sticking up for another poster who claimed he had a "horrible" night, that's all. And I'm just commenting on the concept of saying Kell was "horrible tonight", of which your post was the latest I saw in the thread. Nothing more. You said Dan wasn't missing the point by saying Kell was "horrible tonight." I believe that's not true. He did. That's all. He wasn't "horrible" last night. He had a couple horrible plays, as did everyone, but he was far from "horrible".
The comment on "Kell bashing" is my belief in general, and ties into the thread as a whole. It is getting old, especially when he wasn't bad. People tend to focus on a few plays. Again, not saying you're a basher.
