Questionable call to go to spencer down low late. I would of liked to see hemsley with the ball at the end, not sure if he was open though.

No answer to the zone for the entire game. Zero. Come on coaches. That's why we lost. Hated the final shot we took. Drive to basket and get fouled. We lost composure and game. Refs will never make that call on a buzzer beater.

Zero idea why ball wasn't in Hemsleys hands for final play. He's quick enough w 7 sec left to drive and make a pass or shoot it. Kell was always going to shoot it and offensively wasn't a factor in 2ND half. Goddammit! Well at least you folks have nice weather. It's 3° in Dayton.

Refs will never make that call on a buzzer beater. Well, they were once again in a position to win at the end, and that's all the coaching staff can do from the sidelines. It's up to the players to make the ball go through the hoop.

I like how Hemsley danced around the top of the key to wind the clock down...very good strategy when we're up late in the game...oh wait...ok, bad example...I like how we got the rebound with 10 seconds left, but danced around for 3 seconds before dribbling the ball past half court for a timeout...very smart basketball.

I hope they are taking the Greyhound home tonight and it is a very long, bumpy ride to give them a lot to think about and maybe rattle some sense into them.
If you heard Fish at the half, the coaches know exactly what the players are doing wrong and what they need to do to fix it. And yet ... the players seem to just refuse to do the smart thing they are being instructed to do. As a result, it's almost a bit hard to root for most of these guys with the lack of effort and low IQ play, uninspired play. It been a LONG time since I could say that about an Aztec team, and you could say that a LOT this season.
Starts with the (lack of) senior leadership. Weak, soft senior class, no mental or physical toughness.

I hate to say it, but Fisher has no effective offense against a zone. This, right here. Terrible execution, and you can't put that all on Germ. I hate saying it, but Skylar had no purpose being in the game the last 5 minutes. They were in a zone on D, and running high ball screens (and double ball screens) EVERY single possession. Skylar has been fantastic for us this year, but neither end of the floor was beneficial to his skillset. On offense, we made absolutely no adjustments to the zone. Malik, even when he's missing shots, is the only player on the team who tries to facilitate a good offense. He always does a good job of flashing in the paint, then stretching the floor. He didn't see the floor the last 6 minutes. We stopped moving, we stopped moving the ball, and we didn't screen the on-ball defender nearly enough. Have to give credit to FSU b/c they played much harder tonight. But there's no doubting that this is much more of an Aztec loss than a Bulldog win. Hopefully this lights a fire under their asses to improve for the rest of the season.

Okay, everyone go to bed, take your Tums, Rolaids whatever and sleep this off. These guys have been playing with fire all season and they got burned again.

every fault that this aztec team has came bubbling to the surface can't shoot can't play against an aggressive zone, miss clutch free throws big heads automatic win i.e. usd hold the ball forever no offensive movement
that was embarrassing
more than disappointing, 3 of frsnos better players out and a total lack luster performance. where was potential after his 3 points? nowhere. if you listen carefully, you can hear howling from n.m.

Pathetic!Total team effort! Hard to believe that Fisher can have a team play as brain dead as this. As good as he is supposed to b he constantly gives the ball to WS and then they all stand around until he trows up a brick. How did TK play PG last season he has turned the ball over on dribble then anyone I can remember. Will not miss WS and his worthless offense. Why do we always stub are toe like this? It would be different if it was Kan or WV but, a team missing their big guys and another goes down during. So frustrated by play like this. God I wish Fisher would go all Bobby Knight on this team just once!

At least we were consistent tonight. Everyone played poorly and nobody seemed to care. Germ played well tonight. He did, but he gets put into a position of trying to do so much, too much, to over-compensate for the slack ass offense of the entire rest of the team. Shame. He is one heck of a player, very poised, skilled, smart. He's a winner. The rest ... eh, not so much right now.

So f****** weak. 3 starters out and we just play like idiots all night. Embarrassing loss added to our long list of them on the season. Welp. Everyone is playing for 3 in Vegas now. Awful. We did play like idiots tonight. Normally, that would seem harsh, but I was laughing as I read your post and "idiots' just summed it up so accurately.

We are so in-ept on offense, we should have blown out this team! Too many times these guys get up 8-10 points and then start playing silly with house money and guess what the other guys catch up. Play smart, protect your leads and put your opponents away so you can read your clippings the next day!
