Aztec may be taking a closer look at is 2017 forward Tyler Bey. Currently he is a 6'7" PF, which is slightly undersized for the Aztecs, with a high motor. According to LV Knicks coach, Bey went off for 28 points and six rebounds in front of both Dutcher and Velasquez. Over four games in Dallas he averaged 20 points and seven rebounds. And immediately got an offer from the Pokes.

Here's the article mentioned in another post (really nice work Michael if you also on the board)... link
Here's the section from that article where it talked about Bey: C'mon Gundo...I know you like to be the recruiting expert around here, but it seems wrong to basically copy and paste someone else's article, change a few words and make it look like your own.

Wow, that's what they mean when they say a player is 'long'. I played some rec ball with a guy with really long arms and it was incredibly frustrating. I would be very sure that he was out of range, then, wham; he would appear out of nowhere in a passing lane or to block a shot from behind. It was like playing with Inspector Gadget, (for those old enough to remember him).

Policy seems to be everyone keeps letting Gundo away with it

Ernie Kent with another Aztec f x x x you. Why do we care if Ernie offered Bey? Unless everyone else withdraws their offer he won't go there.

New article on Bey...lists SDSU in the 4 schools recruiting him the hardest. He also seems high on SDSU if you look at his twe link
Total guess here, but it seems like we are the favorite unless some big-name school comes after him. He seems like a good get...hope we can land him.

Ernie Kent with another Aztec f x x x you. Tampering! 1-17 in the PAC or 16-2 in the MWC. Where would you rather be, first or last?

July is one of the biggest months for AAU events , every weekend there are major tournaments where all the coaches get out and evaluate talent . You can bet that if a guy is a quality player he will get multiple offers from P5 schools . Offering is great But the key part is after that when guys start selecting and setting up visits to the schools they want to take a closer look at . Hope we are on his list and other players . We have at least 4 scholarships available maybe 5 (Malik ) for 2017 - but coaches like to save some for transfers .
