I would think that it would be important for a guy to see a campus while it is in full session ?. Wyoming 8/1 ? Do hope we are near the end of his visits . Where else is he rumored to visit ? Guess Cowboys and Buffalos( want to get him there while the weather is pleasant , but feel confident our staff can show him what it cold look like in the dead of winter ?? Wyoming airport for commercial flights if they have one ?

Guess Cowboys and Buffalos( want to get him there while the weather is pleasant , but feel confident our staff can show him what it cold look like in the dead of winter ?? Wyoming airport for commercial flights if they have one ? I don't think being in full session is important. They mainly go there to see how comfortable they are with the coaches & other players, which will be most of their college experience. If academics is big they can always meet with advisers. Even the weather isnt' that critical in hoops. It's an indoor game, and between October & April between classes, meetings, practices, weights & sleep 80% of their days are spent indoors, all when the weather is at its worst. They can always watch game film to check out the game environment, and I'm sure all schools have film of the games with a view from around the bench. Being on campus for a game is great, but given most are playing at home Friday and/or Saturday nights during the season as well it's not often that it happens unless they live close by. Plus, most are already decided by November. Bringing them in for a football game experience in September/October is always good, but there's no real advantage for SD vs. Wyoming or Boulder at that time of year. Our advantage is more around the fact we can get up to LA to see his Friday night games & build upon the relationship, where Wyoming doesn't have that opportunity. Colorado does, when playing USC/UCLA, but by that time Bey will have already decided (per his quotes). Hopefully we've used our time well over the past 2 years (which apparently we have given we're among his favorites). Hopefully we have the better relationship with the coaches & our players do a great job bonding with him. Our facilities (for hoops) are as good as any of those locations, as is our history. The question is whether the pull of the P12, and a UC team that's supposed to be very good this year, drag him away? PS. The weather in Boulder is actually very nice...dryer than people give it credit for.

Let us know when Tyler is taking his official to SDSU please, think I remember he was on campus not long ago, but don't think it was official? I'm very optimistic on recruiting moving forward, the future is bright on the Mesa. We have room for Tyler and McCoy, can you imagine, the die hard Aztec fans would be so excited we wouldn't be able to contain ourselves. I hope one of these top recruits commits to SDSU or at least announces they will be deciding at a certain time and date ala ZC, (not Leaf), I miss the boards lighting up like a pinball machine with excitement..

I'd be shocked if he didn't commit to SDSU. His game totally resembles Kawhi Leonard.

IMO it could help a student athlete if they saw a campus while school is in session . Agree much of the time they are doing things involved with their team but there are times when they are not . We have a lot to present . If it boils down to battle with Cowboys , would guess our coaches or our players could provide some very interesting pictures about Wyoming , airport and even about the enjoyable altitude to play in - may sound negative but we know other teams present information about us .
Would feel better after he takes official visit here and of course nothing is 100 % until they sign , and now a days even that is not a guarantee ?

they also could have plenty of PT . Every recruit is different on what they are looking for in a school for their freshman and balance of their time at the school . Key for our coaches could be getting understanding , who in his family or his coaches assist Tyler the most in making his decision. Colorado P5/ PAC is also in the running . Believe it was well known - K. Leonard had a difficult time, playing at schools with high altitude .
