He's a good pick up not due to any ranking as a HS junior, who offered or how he played. He's a good pickup because he has good, raw talent and a year developing it further in our system would do him wonders. Unlike you, I don't define a kid based on his FR year. Why not? Why is that not important? Why are you pretending that the fact that recruiting experts all thought he was really good just a year ago does not matter? Why does the fact that Wichita State, West Virginia, and Michigan State all great evaluators of talent schools wanted him not matter? Didn't say WHO recruited him didn't matter. They saw potential down the road which is relevant. Just the fact he was highly ranked by pubs is less relevant. If that matters to you great, but IMO HS rankings (especially when based on him being a 2015 not 2014) isn't relevant. If you watched him over 10 games last year without a name on his jersey you wouldn't think he was top 50, 75 or even 100. But you would see a very raw kid with some skills and a nice frame, who probably shouldn't have reclassified or may have RS'd on a better team (i.e. Norain), and that makes him a target. Knowing he'll RS and still has 3 more years makes him valuable. Then again, he may end up being one of many who were highly ranked early and never developed? How many kids slide DOWN the rankings and/or garner less interest their senior year? Several. Don't think it's him but won't know until we see how he develops. He could live up to the hype, or not. Last year he sure didn't. He'll have a much better shot in 2 years.

Believe ISU and Baylor are on the same schedule as SDSU , classes started 8/24 for all. Then the last to days to register ??
Ducks start last week of September - advantage Ducks

Only if he paints himself in a corner and has no where else to go but Oregon... If he misses the class enrollment deadlines from all of the other schools...then he is essentially saying "I'm going to Oregon"... BTW...I think he can enroll up to the add/drop date of September 4th officially

Ducks start last week of September - advantage Ducks He left Missouri 5 weeks ago. At this point, if he's letting the academic calendar of ANY institution influence where he'll spend the next 4 years then he's not very bright to begin with. He's had plenty of time to figure out what's the best real fit.
Hopefully he makes the decision which is best for HIM, rather than relying on what works for his academic advisor. If the last day to add/drop classes is the 2nd (or 4th), then he still has a week to weigh the pro's/con's.
I haven't seen anything that says he's definitely visiting Baylor or Iowa St, so right now I'd say advantage SDSU & Oregon.

Coming from Canada, why choose rainy Oregon? Make the break to the beach. There's a log jam at the 2 spot in Eugene.

Any word on the visit? Press, statement, social media? Nothing on Twitter. He's still in the add/drop period. It looks like Oregon is in the drivers seat.

It looks like Oregon is in the drivers seat. 9 days left (if he wants to cut it close), so time. Would guess we'd have an answer by Monday. Am disappointed there hasn't been any pics, thank you posts/tweets, etc. Being an optimist, could simply be he's going thru app process and wants to ensure he can get in ok first before announcing. Assume he left missou fully qualified and on course....

Good news! And I hope at the end of his Aztec career I can say screw Steve Walentik (writer for the Columbia Tribune) on why Mizzou transfers never prosper. If he goes 12 & 6. its a good pick up. The kid was recruited by Coach Izzo, Coach Cal at Kentucky, Thad Motta The Ohio State and Tom Crean at IU. I dont believe they were all "wrong."

Pretty mind boggling why he went to Mizzou if all those guys were after him. It's not even his hometown or something either
