Here's his new list. @brodricksjones3: Arizona St, Oregon, Washington St, Colorado, UTEP, Memphis, Providence, SMU, Florida St , Long Beach St. Nebraska. This is a pipe dream list. BJ probaly left the program after reading the Oracle's comments about him a few months ago. The dude as a basketball player is garbage. His grades at school reflect this kids effort and personality. This kid is sadly destined for failure due to his sense of entitlement and laziness. From this list, Long Beach would be doing this kid a massive favor should they give him a scholarship. The other programs on this list would just chew this kid and spit him out. Good riddance BJ.

Wish Jones the best but hope he ends at UTEP. It was always apparent that many of our fans didn't think he was talented enough or deserved a scholarship. Now after this season we have a 6'9 freshmen and a 6'7 sophomore to play in the post. Would have been nice to have some depth just in case recruiting doesn't go our way.

He wasn't able to dominate in high school, he's not new to the game at all. Let's face it, the project is his mind. Unless he learns to LOVE the game and put the time, practice, and repetition into it he will remain a PROJECT. Lets go out and find someone with a burning desire to compete and who wants to develop every ounce of potential they are given. Talent alone will never get SDSU where they want to be. We are better off without him!!

Since I saw him at Torrey Pines Tournament last winter, I have not been a fan for reasons already stated a couple times in this forum. So I was not devastated when he decided to leave the program. However, if the list of schools looking at him is true, then the young man has stepped up his game and may end up being better than many of us anticipated. If that's the case, then best of luck to him because he may end up bouncing back to us like so many CA boys do. (but I'm not holding my breath)

As many have suggested Aztec coaches are spending their time practicing with players in Summer School during the week and evaluation HS players on the weekends . After July is over then can sit down and decide what the stipulations should be for BJ . No need to trash him or for the staff to make any quick decisions on BJ .

Sounds like Arizona State at the top of his list. Bobby Hurley is probably going to ruffle some feathers before he's done.

No reason for the Aztecs to be petty. Broderick wants to go somewhere where he can get some playing time. I wouldn't even restrict him from any MWC team. I would only restrict a team if I thought there was some communication before his "decision".

I wouldn't care if he ended up at San Jose St -- in fact I would encourage it ... there would be a certain amount of satisfaction in beating him every year with the secondary benefit that he actually may improve that team enough that playing them doesn't hurt our resume as much.

Classy post in support of a kid who appears to lack class. Perhaps, we will one day hear the story.

Classy post in support of a kid who appears to lack class. Perhaps, we will one day hear the story. Was it a lack of class or the worry that he hadn't developed enough to get playing time and realizing that leaving would not only be better for him but for the Aztecs too.

Was it a lack of class or the worry that he hadn't developed enough to get playing time and realizing that leaving would not only be better for him but for the Aztecs too. The way he handled it after the staff stuck by him and did what they could to help him was a classless move regardless of his age. He is a teenager though and looking back through the haze I am sure I did some things that I didn't completely think through back in the day. Truly hope it is a win-win and works out for him and the Aztecs.

Air Force just lost 6'8" Forward Garrett Thibodeaux after days in basic training and he transferred to UTSA.

As I said . He made a very late decision . The Aztec coaches can now first do what they need to do coach the guys here and recruit for 2016 . In August if nothing else ask BJ to at least be civil and come talk with our coaches , try telling the complete story . There is nothing wrong in saying these are the MW teams you can not sign with or PAC schools , plus Zags . We are not the first school to put restrictions on a recruit that signs. He can still play for a wide variety of WCC , Big West , Big Sky , JC or even a year of Prep School to get his act together. The staff does not need to trash him but they do not need to do any favors for him and some of the coaches who may have made suggestions that he take a look at their school .
