Making the team is not going to be easy . So let's wait and see . A lot of quality players on that list . is there also a team from Canada ? Narain or others ? I don't see Narain on the Canadian U18/19 roster, but the roster may not be finalized. www.basketball.ca/en/team_programs/mens-u18u19

Malik has an advantage of playing a year in college at altitude (MWC) under coach Fisher. He tore up CSU shooting 9 of 11 and 28 points in Ft. Collins. The disadvantage was that he missed two years of competitive ball in HS. Personally I'd like him to make the team and represent SDSU, I don't think any other big on that roster shoots as well or handles the ball as good as Malik.

Note to Malik: Make some friends while you are there. Some of these guys may be uncommitted or looking for a great school (SDSU) to transfer into within a year.

I was just being sarcastic, I thought it was actually funny/clever Just because you used a double entendre doesn't qualify you as being clever. And when that double entendre involves the health of one of our players, I'm sure many of us don't find it that funny. Glad you were able to pat yourself on the back and get a good chuckle out of it though. First of all, lighten up. Second, I wasn't even the one who said it

If he doesn't make the cut he'll know what part of his game he'll have to work on. I think he'll make the cut anyway.

I do not like the fact that Malik is taking part in this because if he did get injured it would ruin our season. It is not like it is the actual mens usa basketball team so it is unnecessary. This is the second softest thing ever written in the history of aztecmesa. Are you related to the dude in this thread who said SDSU football players shouldn't train with Navy SEALs because they might get injured? That was the softest. aztecmesa.proboards.com/thread/14321/aztecs-trained-navy-seals-todayWe need to purge Aztecmesa of soft people like you. Your softness is a disease that must be purged from this land.

He could also get hurt playing in a pick up game in San Diego or practicing with the Aztecs. This is a chance to play against top competition and get better.

Great news. Sean Miller is a class act too. I agree about Miller... Worrisome in that I see him slowly becoming the Coach K of the West and keeping UA dominant for a long, long time, but at least he is enthusiastic about playing the 2nd tier teams in the region home AND away. Hopefully when Dutch takes over he'll be able to do similar things here like Miller did post-Lute (though obviously UA had a head start...) By the time Fish hangs it up, BD will have close to 30 years of Associate HC'ing experience. Oh please, his team's underachieve every year. He's a great recruiter and an average coach.

Where to begin with this... maybe you should try re-reading the thread again... and directing your misguided anger at the appropriate target. Why would you overly concern yourself with injury if 'like 44 players are trying out. How much work will he get? Om none...'. There is absolutely no logic or cohesion in your posts.

I would say smart over soft.Besides you guys do not even know what your talking about lol But we do know how to use your and you're, so... 'smart' may not be the best way to phrase your comment. You and your softness have already been banished. If you're against this, you suck.

I am not in English class its a message board.Anything but SDSU practice and games is unnecessary especially when dude gets injured all the time. Fearing injury is no way to have a career. Get as good as possible by practicing and playing as much as you can and take advantage of phenomenal opportunities such as this

The only people who should be turning down an opportunity to practice with team usa due to injury concerns have names such as durant, james, paul, curry et al
