Has Anyone heard anything about who we are even looking at....
Only Marcus Lovett Jr. still has an offer from us I believe but he has like 10 offers or something like that. He would bring another dimesion.
I guess Fish might be holding out for a transfer or something but has anyone heard anything( any mid season transfers).

I believe the coaches have stated on the radio that it's open for a transfer or it'll be saved for 2016. Remember Fisher only goes 8-9 deep so it really doesn't matter unless we land someone who can make an impact.

Agree , the coaches have said they are primarily looking/recruiting for 2016 . at the end of the year they will talk with the guys verify who is coming back for 2015-16 season or may transfer or off to NBA. As of today 10 guys( including Zylan)are coming back , not sure what Winston will do , so that could drop the squad to 9 . Add guard Helmsley and PF BJ - to make it 11 or 12 . Will someone transfer out ? Look at the squad to see if there is a position that may need a transfer in . But may decide to wait for the 2016 group , we will have to replace SS/ AC combo at the 5 position. So unless there is a fantastic transfer in for 2015 at a position we need help do not see another HS recruit being added . would guess the transfer list across the country will grow after April .For now concentrating on the current season and the visits from 2016 recruits.

The lesson learned today in Boise is that this team needs a big time scorer fifth year player ASAP. He'll make everyone else better. That would be the best use of the remaining schollie. End the drought!
Memo to Dutch: Give Jimmy Williams a call. Maybe he knows another guy that wants to star elsewhere. Josh Davis worked out OK.

We need a Josh Davis type rebounder. The offense next year will be fine, but we need a beast on the boards to clean up the glass on offense, and limit other team offensive rebounds and extending thier possessions.

What was Sky doing today guarding the point and at the arc preventing the three?

We rebound quite well this season. | 2014 | 2015 | OR% | 36.7% | 37.9% | DR% | 70.7% | 69.1% | MWC OR% | 36.1% | 38.5% | MWC DR% | 71.1% | 74.5% | Total R% | 107.4% | 107.0% | MWC Tot R% | 107.2% | 113.0% |
Overall our Rebounding percentage is equal to last season but we are improving. Our MWC rebounding is a step up from last season. Not having a Josh Davis type rebounder leads fans to miss the fact that the Aztecs rebounding is very good. Top of the MWC.

The making of baskets to score points seems to be the lost art. Need to find some guys that can do it next year.

We lose JJ , and maybe Shepard as forwards . we bring in ZC and BJ . Does that equal more rebounding for 2015 ? We should be doing decent at rebounding this year in the MW , because there are not many solid front lines in the MW . not sure what it may look like for next year as CSU , Wyoming lose some guys down low also . An additional situation this year with no real PG running the offense , it has gone through JJ , so he has not totally in position ( a must for him ) to get as many rebounds .Also another skill X had was getting into position to rebound , not a strong point for our guards this year .
Same thing as most have said evaluate the squad, at the end of the year who is coming back and who is leaving , then see if there is a glaring hole to fill . Would guess ZC may have been told to hone his skills for next year at PF .

Based on the ocular test, we don't *look* like a good rebounding team. That is one area where stats are great. Emotions tend to cloud perception. I bet if you ask (non-boxscore perusing) Aztec fans whether Winston or O'Brien shot better in the game, most would say O'Brien. Both were 0-2 shooting 3s. Winston was 6-9 and JJ 8-16 shooting 2s.

Still a lot of important basketball to be played this year . Then meet with the team and see who is coming back , then see if there is a definite need ,other wise hold it for 2016 . Would doubt any transfer is going to announce anything until MM starts is played out. So enjoy this season , then start getting real information.

Let this season play out . Then, Try to figure who we actually have leaving and coming back to see if we have a very important need . At that time there will also be a better list of who is available and even more important the look of our squad for 2015-16 with the guys coming back and BJ and JH added . As some have said the more regular transfers we add that have to sit a year then start to play in 2016 , means less transfers for 2016 . ( we also have 1 2016 HS recruit K.Smith SG/SF ) . Quality over quantity .

In figuring out roster next year, I believe Shepard returns.
Two reasons: He's not a first rounder (not a surprise to anyone including Winston). I believe he's a bright kid and at this point will be looking to graduate (no info on this of course).
I hope he comes back and graduates. Seniors always have a way of having special years.

There are going to be quite a few programs holding an extra scholarship open until June rather than handing them all out in April. I know Fish said he's no longer looking at HS recruits for '15 but every coach in America would make an exception for this kid, even if it means giving someone a push out the door.
My guess is Duke or Kentucky, but wouldn't it be something to sneak in & potentially have 2 lottery players on next year's team???!!
This kid is going to be very special - top 5 in 2016 draft.
