When in lawyer's hands, doctors mean nothing! Somewhat true, except lawyers cannot cut someone open (literally) and save a life. Therefore, doctors do mean something.

I can't imagine anyone ripping away the last chance for a kid to play the game he loves (except of course slimy lawyers). I wouldn't want someone making that decision for me. He's 22 years old - enough to drink, drive, go to war , get married and have a baby but some of you think its a coach's decision? With his medical condition I don't believe he would be allowed in the armed services. He would probably be designated 4F, and so they would not take him.

I feel badly for the kid, realistically his basketball career is probably over like the kid who got drafted from Baylor. Teams aren't going to want to risk the liability on the pro level (or even the college level it appears) because my guess is DP wants on the court badly and would play in a second if they would let him.
