Wow if Polee was truly healthy and there were no risk - he would ignite the team to a whole new level. Viejas would go nuts.

There has to be some way for the family and player himself to prevail over lawyers, even in lawsuit-loving CA. I hope he can play at least a little bit.

He is out of college eligibility and this is his last year. If he plays, he plays here.

So did they make a diagnosis and has he been treated for it? If not, there's a realistic chance of it happening again and I can't see them risking putting him in that position.

The UT article seemed to imply that the cause is known and is heart related.
Fisher indicated on his show that DP is cleared to exercise/practice with trainer/doctor supervision. He also indicated he would be moved along fairly fast but slow from DP perspective. He wants DP to be able to play but wants DP to have no further issues. He did not indicate lawyers were dictating anything but that does not necessarily mean they have no say.
I trust Fisher and Aztecs to do what is in best interest of DP.
I would like at least a token appearance either at senior night or last home game.

I think what has gone unnoticed, for the most part, is how badly our team has been hit with injuries. Our incredible depth makes up for it, but if we knew at the start of the season that Matt and AQ would both miss multiple games, we'd lose our 1st or 2nd scoring option DP for extended time on a team that already couldn't score, and Zylan would be a RS... I'd have definitely taken 17-5, 7-2 tied with Wyo, and in control of our own destiny in the MW race at this point. Testament to the deep bench down to the last guy, our coaching staff, and our entire program.

How cool would that be if he could replace WS as a starter. Nothing I ask for happens though. Like starting Pope, playing Cheathem, benching WS.
Sometimes I think coaches care more about the principal than winning.

Steve Fisher and staff have no idea what they are doing, not listening to the arm chair coaches on message boards. Fire 'em all, I say. Coach this team via smart phone up in the nose bleeds.

Keeping in mind that DP was not playing all that red-hot to begin with, some of you have some rather grandiose visions of what he might be capable of.

Given his past I don't think that stressful spot is what he needs. JMO

Can we please give it a rest for DP until the family , doctors , and whom ever decide it is the right thing for DP to play or not play . Then have some one start dropping in some comments about benching another starter, who they do not like, so DP could start is ridiculous . This should be over and out for a topic

>>> it would put too much pressure on DP
Valid point, I'm desperately looking for ways to stop 1 foot air balls, finger roll fails, fast break fumbles, and too many attempts at trying to look like a real player.

Can you imagine the fallout if they let him play, and it happened again? Or worse. I shutter at the thought. As much as I would love to see him come back for so many reasons, if something really horrible should happen to Dwayne ... The regret would be untenable. What worries me is that they found nothing- really? I will never forget that sequence of watching him stagger and fall face first, nor will I forget that shot if him on TV with his eyes rolled back and body convulsing as if having a seizure. I was horrified that we were seeing a repeat of Hank Gathers, which I saw live. Maybe if they had found something and knew what caused this not once but twice. They found nothing with Hank Gathers when it happened earlier. Then the found the issue during the autopsy. I don't mean to be morbid, but I'll be a wreck if DPll comes back. I love and appreciate the guy too much as an Aztec For Life and what he has done for this program to take a chance- he has a great life ahead of him. Glad it's not my call.
