Believe Toledo has stated numerous times he would like to have the QB completing at least 66% of his passes , throw the ball about 36 times . Time for some coach , be it Toledo , Rocky , Sipe , K O C 7 or some one to take responsibility for recruiting and developing, at least 1 if not 2 quality QB's and SDSU to be considered a school known for developing good QB's , that lead their team to championships . (Know we all prefer a P5 but for now MW ). We are not going to get quality QB's until HS guys know we are a QB school . We can hope the group of J.R. , Bowden , Chapman can start that tradition by next year . This year an injured QK needs to be a game manger , with Ruffin get the passing attack moving - stay away from long ball if his arm can not deliver , let WR;s do their damage after completions . Just make sure the QB is not one of the reasons for L's ( NC and Fresno games)
New verbal Parchment is a DB / RB .
As mentioned many times , but it may not be easy, need OL , to block for QB's and RB's . WR's also want to go to a school that throws the ball . Today's game favors teams that have quality QB's and receivers .

Orgeron failed at Ole Miss, guys a a screaming maniac and a wife beater. Just the guy to lead us in the future. Our recruiting is excellent it aint going to get much better at QB until we start throwing the ball more.,that will happen next year. YOU cna not argue with these guys .They want anew stadium ,thye want to play in the big 12. The stadium doies not matter to recruits, the faci, lites have to be decent whihc thye are, something but this staff is finding alot of players the big guys miss,ie Lomax,Barrett, Munson, Pumphrey,Kazee,Terry Poole, Major transfers Babiash,Heyward, Dunn, Rodreiguez. As I said once before, I'm pretty disappointed in the WRs we recruited in 2010-2012. Other than Ruffin, none have distinguished themselves although I still have hope a couple might develop. However, it's obvious Holder is going to be a good one, Clewis could be and I really like this year's haul of Bailey, Chaney and Herring. And I LOVE the two Texas RBs, Juwan Washington and Jatory Sparks-Brown. Washington is tiny but man what a weapon that kid is going to be - hopefully for us if some big boy program doesn't steal him away at the eleventh hour. But speaking of QBs, we still haven't got a commitment from one for 2015. Further, as much as I read the recruiting stuff on ASR, I see nothing to suggest we're hot on the trail of a stud JUCO guy who can back up Rodrigues (with an "s") next year in the event he gets hurt and Bowden still isn't ready for prime time. I'm trying, really I am, to remain patient but another QB year like this one in 2015 and I'm going to just scream. Edit: Oh, and then there's this: twitter.com/young_parchment . there is grad senior in the wind. Guy is a running QB but can throw some. Can not say more than that.

The very second Rocky Long was finished here at SDSU:
Once he decided to give Bob Toledo's corpse a call instead of doing his due diligence and finding an up-and-coming, creative OC that knows how football is being played in 2014.

Your best player fumbles twice? QK good, not great? Tough to win in that environment. Would have liked to strech it a little, but Toledo knows and sees more than I do. Brutal loss regardless.
But "fire everybody" is a chump call. I'm sick of know nothing pontificating by the Aztecmesa crowd. Leave it to me.

Pump and Price got a total of 21 carries which is unacceptable especially considering they averaged 6.9 yards a carry Toledo is making me depressed

coach Horton should be OC next season. Toledo has to go. Its just sad to lose the way we do, abandoning our strength. We have a stable of running backs yet don't establish the run and purposely get away from it. sad...
The defense kicked ass tonight. kudos to Rocky's unit for that. The writings on the wall and Rocky needs to make it happen yet keep continuity for the incoming Rodriguez next season.

I don't fault Toledo at all. He's trying to disguise our weakness of the QB position. If the staff recruited a legitimate QB he wouldn't have to resort to those desperation plays. Why is it that we seem to be the only school who can't seem to find a decent QB?

I wish Toledo would realize his QB cant throw and stop trying the deep ball. Every time I see QK drop back to pass I vomit a little in my mouth.

He is a brilliant offensive mind who doesn't understand his own team.

Rocky Long hired Toledo, in the same fashion as did Sterk in hiring Long: Extreme indolence and absence of foresight.

You are correct. Then why is he throwing on second and three in Nevada territory. From the shotgun! He is a brilliant offensive mind who doesn't understand his own team. Probably because they stacked the line against the run and know QK's limitation. As i stated in an earlier comment, per the UT Article, The Aztecs in the first half alone attempted 11 first down passes completing only 3 of them. That does not sound like an OC that realizes we are a fun first team. Even if an opponent stacks the box, or if our RB's have a fumble, we still need to be dedicated to the run and Toledo has PROVEN, that he is not able to do that. Instead he gets bored, or antsy, or uncomfortable with being patient and allowing the run game to eventually wear down an opponent. By the numbers, if you wouldve asked me if we keep Fajardo to 10-26 passes and 109 yds in the air, i'd tell you that we win outright! But since Toledo and Rocky got scared because of a few fumbles, we ignored the run game once again. Especially in the 2nd half. How do you get outscored 20-0 when their quarterback is struggline so bad? Credit to Reno's defense, but we all have this offense all season long and know better to chop it up as, hey the better team won. NO. The better COACHES won Saturday night. And believe me i cant stand that Polian guy, so it is hard for me to say that.

I generally think Toledo is doing okay with what he has, but we're seeing a lot of the 1st down incomplete pass, second down run for a couple, and then third and long. This offense cannot work with that set-up.

Last game not so much, but generally means generally. When you see teams like Utah State lose HOW MANY STARTING QB's this year and not skip a beat with their offense, you really need to ask yourself what is SDSU lacking on the offensive side of the ball? Is it only talent? I say we go poach Utah States Co-Offensive Coordinator Luke Wells. We need that kind of production and problem solving here to match Rocky's incredibly stout Defense. www.mwcconnection.com/2014/11/1/7144961/utah-state-has-best-qb-depth-in-the-country
