As stated time for the team to rally around the freshman QB , OL needs to make this game a definitive statement . Game will be one or lost by what team controls the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball . QB , since a few other guys stepped up at WR - would it be a time to move Chase back to QB ? He knows the system better then Chapman . Although they could also use him on end around and throw for some reason I read "one" as "won". I think technology may be making me dumber.

afan Coordinator
10 hours ago TruAztec, AzTex and 1 more like this. Quote douchey1 said:Thank you lord
I'm confused. Are you thanking the lord for Quinn's injury or is this one of those "He works in mysterious ways" thank you's? Either way, your screen name seems appropriate. I usually avoid this board after a loss because of the sh!tty things said about young men doing their level best to honorably represent the University . I guess I'll have to think twice about coming in here after a win now. Some people on here have lost all perspective.
Dude, I'd never wish a college kid an injury. Just relating my joy that we might better our situation. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

With Bawden now the #1 QB, who is the #2 QB on the depth chart? Depth ChartQUARTERBACK (QB) 18 Quinn Kaehler, 6-4, 215, Sr.* 15 Nick Bawden, 6-3, 225, Fr.-HS 10 Christian Chapman, 6-0, 180, Fr.-HS 16 Drew Anderson, 6-3, 205, Fr.-HS This is very concerning. Bawden is supposed to be "advanced" for a freshman, so hopefully we'll be OK, but if we need to go to Chapman we could be in trouble. Now would be a very good time for our run of injuries to key players to come to an end. Go Aztecs!

Just hope that those fans that talked about switching QK…. Don't complain about NICK when he does something bad….But then again…Aztec Fans are never happy

I would not be shocked to see our offense a little more like it was when Katz was the starter, more shotgun and some opportunities for him to get on the corner.
I know Toledo is the OC now, but Nick can run.

I think Bawden will be lights out and lead the team to a blowout win over Fresno St.
He's a smart guy and will figure out what he needs to do to be successful.
A star will be born this Friday....and if not, we still have Chapman.

Rocky says players become "experienced" by their second game. So, I'm in wait and see mode for Fresno. Let him make the typical freshman mistakes...then apply what he's learned by the time we play the New Mexico.
Oldie Out

I'm sure he can complete 50 percent of his passes at the line of scrimmage and throw devastating interceptions

this season has already been a bit of a letdown for me, what with the losses to both UNC and OSU. The hump is only getting higher. If this kids shows some promise, that may make up for a bit of it. I'm with Mr. Poeple. IMO there's no reason that even with Kaehler out we shouldn't go 5-3 down the stretch and play in another bowl game. In the meantime, Bawden will get what should be valuable experience for our breakout year in 2015 or 2016. Who's coaching in 15 or 16 then?

Losing Quinn,Largent, Foley,Ezell is not going to stop the Rocky bashers, they will be gleeful if we loose raining down the retread threads we ought to be in the Big 12, Sterk is jerk,Rocky is senile ,Toledo over the hill. If we so win it will only be because we are in the terrible Mountain West and should be a P5 team if we had a good coach. SDSU is the only school in the country dealing with injuries. He's had a full slate of recruiting and there are 85 schollys...so, I'm sure he'll use it as an excuse or say a non sequitur like we have to learn to win those

UCLA having 85 scholarships and SDSU having the same do not mean that they have the same depth of talent.

No, bookmakers make their money by a. the vig and/or b. getting a bunch of idiots to take a sucker bet. If a bunch of morons get their panties in a bunch because a noodle arm that doesn't complete passes goes down Vegas is happy to hover that money up.

Patheic Oreogn ,lost four olineman to injurys and have gave up a bunch of sacks. Obviously thy cannot deal with injures and their are retread losers. They just do not have the money to run a top flight program.

Guys, we will dominate Fresno State in the same way that we dominated UNLV. Fresno will put up yards, and some points, but the game will not be in doubt after the 2nd Quarter. Earmarked Doh!
