Impressive... almost 85% of the way there, all within what - nine months? - of the announcement.

To me it looks like they only have enough room for a very narrow, small building. Or, did they not take a good angle on the photos they posted. Is it going up behind the Alumni Bldg.? That doesn't seem to have much space, or does it?

When I first heard that it was going up between the Alumni Center, and the Fowler Athletic Center I thought that can't be right. There's not enough room there for me to park my car. They didn't make it very clear on the exact spot.

Will it be multi level? Underground courts etc?
...and that's all I have to say about that.

From what I recall, its multi-level and sits BEHIND the Alumni Center in that grassy area (which is kinda too bad- I liked the thought of sipping drinks at functions on a lawn) not BETWEEN the AC and Fowler.

Court size is about 94' x 50 ' so they should be able to "shoe horn " in the courts. Trust some one has been out there with a tape measure . Breaking ground should be a help recruiting and having it finished even more important . Would be nice to get some of the old and current Aztecs out for the Ground Breaking event.

Love your anachronistic reference to a tape measure. They are probably just hoping after they get the thing built that it fits inside

No matter how it fits, I won't be relieved until they dig that first shovelful. Preferably by Fisher himself.

The ceremony has to work around a few schedules (like a certain head coach's 40th wedding anniversary trip, I believe) and they didn't want to put things off.

That said, I suspect the interior will be more impressive than the unadorned cinder block exterior.

Where's Ernie when you need him?

That doesn't seem to have much space, or does it? It is going in on the lot right behind the alumni center. It is plenty big enough.

Wow.
It's unreal to me that we have construction and design specialists on here who do it by just looking at online picture renderings.
Many unemployed experts on this message board.
