He'd have to walk on and earn his spot. His high school film didn't look all that great IMO. He had an offer from Michigan State and Nebraska where his bro was the star QB. Us and Vandy seem to be his only other offers out of high school. Not sure Rocky is gonna have much interest in this one.

If the 4 star transfer from Arizona has to walk on this kid will surely have to do the same if he wants to come to SDSU.

The fact that Rocky's staff pursued him and offered him a schooly contradicts you opinion. Rocky and Co. seem to have a "welcome all walk-ons" policy.

He looks like a Warrior Back to me. Let him walk on and see what happens.

So, he would have been the 2nd or 3rd string 'Husker safety. He's coming back home (Laguna Beach), yet no PAC schools offered? Hmmm.

I just watched more of his highlights and my opinion has improved. He is certainly athletic. If he has the right attitude he could be a good pick up. How's that for a quick change of opinion.

The tape looks pretty good to me. I see size, quicks, balance, a nose for the ball, and willingness to hit. If he wants us I'm sure Rocky will find room for him.
Gotta like the fact that suddenly we seem to be on the radar for an increasing number of P5 bouncebacks. For me that's the takeaway from this rumor even if we don't get the kid.

If he's homesick he sure as heck isn't going to transfer to Vanderbilt.

Limited Bio on the Saddleback Web site.
Comes to Saddleback from the University of Nebraska, where he redshirted for the Cornhuskers in 2013. Previous to UN, Martinez graduated from Laguna Beach High School in 2013. He is also the brother of former Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez, who started for the Huskers for four years. Martinez is undecided on a major.

So is he playing 2014 season his second at the JCC ? or ?? What are the rules for him and his eligibility ? also Things could get very interesting if the PAC submit rules changes (January ) that do not require a transfer to sit if they have a GPA of above a 2.6 from another conference .
