I'm skeptical about how good UNC actually is. Those ACC & SEC teams are always hyped and perhaps over the top. Their fans buy a hell of a lot of magazines and those rags pay them back accordingly with their favorable predictions. Don't forget, Utah beat Alabama, BSU beat Georgia & Va Tech, Wyoming beat TN. They are not invincible. We shall see.

From Fansided, ESPN ranks UNC football to win the Coastal Division that includes Pitt, Miami and Duke in division. UNC will also play VA Tech, Notre Dame, Clemson and NC State. No doubt the UNC Schedule is stronger than ours, but would love to see an upset in Chapel Hill on Sat Sept 6th.
" It’s mid-July and college football season is right around the corner. So its no surprise that media outlets are releasing their predictions for the upcoming season. ESPN is the latest to do so, and Tar Heel fans should enjoy it.
ESPN predicts the North Carolina Tar Heels to finish 9-4 and win the ACC Coastal Division. That would put the Tar Heels up against the defending national champions, Florida State in the ACC Championship Game. ESPN has Florida State finishing 12-1 as the best team in the conference."

Having lurked a bit on the UNC board, it seems the biggest concern their fans have about playing SDSU is being unprepared us. The Tar Heels open against Liberty, which if it's a total beatdown may not allow the starters to play more than one half of football. The next game they play after us is East Carolina. ECU embarrassed UNC last year in winning by 24 so UNC might have difficulty not looking past us toward them a bit.
I really don't know about that but I think we have a slight advantage when it comes to KO time. We struggled at Army three years ago because KO time was 9 a.m. PST. Because of TV, this game won't start until 8 p.m. eastern time, or 5 p.m. by our biological clocks, which is about when most SDSU games are played.

No doubt we are a trap game in between Liberty a sure bet and then rival East Carolina followed by Clemson, GA Tech, VA Tech and Notre Dame. If we're prepared this is a game to steal away.

If the allegations are true against UNC, and in a perfect world, they should be slapped with crippling penalties. If they are to be believed, most of the players don't bother to go to class, and many of them are barely literate.
If I were running UNC, I'd expect better results on the field with that level of compliance.

JYP might be overreacting to their league record; North Carolina is 13-2 at home over the last five years in non-conference games. SDSU winning at North Carolina would be an upset; expect UNC to be favored. I believe the early line has North Carolina favored by 21. I like the points and would get great money line odds too! I am playing SDSU to win outright. I think Rocky takes the boys to Chapel Hill and doesn't crack a smile while they open the can of whoop-arse.

We won't know how good they really are until we play. But, I'm sure you have heard, "The bigger they are the harder they fall." The team will not go into the game fearing them, and you never know what turn overs may do. So, all we as fans can do is pray for the best showing, and execution by our Aztecs!
