What do you think Shrigley is thinking about now....We need a shooter badly.

I really think he would be a much better player than Rahon has been so far...His act is getting old.

In all seriousness...Things could get worse, possible suspensions and injuries...It is unlikely, but not out of the question...In that case, is Matt then able to give up his redshirt and play this season??? I think Fisher is going to have to take some drastic action to get a few players attention and that might mean suspension...

As another poster said also, don't be surprised if we have a suspension or two in the near future...Fisher just may be losing control of this team IMO....Too many techicals, talking back, having pathetic attitudes...Wow, we have a few cancers on this team I am afraid.

What do you think Shrigley is thinking about now....We need a shooter badly. I believe that the main reason Matt S is sitting this season out is his lack of D skills. In the few games we got to see him, they were really lacking. He will be fine. James R is our second best defender after X. That is a reason he plays.

One game does not an assessment make but the trend is that we need a big who can rebound....and finish close to the basket... Piss poor effort all the way around. Team loss and they need to share in it.

He was asked to red shirt because they didn't need his offense, didn't want to waste him...well that backfired. He is a lot of things this team is missing. Team player, can shoot from anywhere on the court and a natural leader. It's complete helter skelter out there..time to bang some heads together, get some feet firmly planted in reality and get back to playing basketball.

If Shrigley were in, this would have been his 'break-out' game where he carried the whole team and saved the day. We'd be 16-1 now (he'd have contributed to an AZ and UNLV win also).
Fish is paying a huge penalty for that RedShirt decision. HUGE.

I thought all along Shrigley would redshirt this year, Rahon being a senior and the fact that they both would be playing pretty much the same spot. Shrigley I think will be a more consistent player than Rahon, but I would not play him at this point this late into the season. Stick with Rahon, hope he turns it around and look forward to four full years with Shrigley as his replacement.

Rahon being a senior and the fact that they both would be playing pretty much the same spot. They don't play the same spot. Rahon doesn't make shots - Shrigley does. There are two different positions.

Could not forsee X being hurt and JJ + Rahon contributing no offense.
100% agree with prior poster , need s to learn how to play D at this level. Redshirt was the correct call.

Taking Shrigley off his redshirt at this point is not the answer.

I made that comment at the time he made his decision (so I am not second guessing Fisher after the fact) but I thought Fisher might regret making that move. He made the same request of Franklin on a team that was much better than this one and Franklin said no and the team ended up needing Franklin's offensive contributions at the end of that year. This year's team lacks offense and without Thames they are really hurting. And I just have not had much confidence in Rahon's shot. He seems to have to make his first shot or he is useless in that game.
Just hope Franklin is smart enough to stick around for next year.

Agreed, Franklin needs to stay and be a true leader for this team....ie not rack up stupid T's and talk $#!+ all night. He's better than everyone he plays every night barring a few big OOC games. Shrigley with his athleticism and level head will be a huge attribute for this squad, especially after sitting out and maturing a year. Although right now I'd love another scorer off the bench, as our transfers and bench play lacks O.
Anyone else think we need a coach specified for big men?? Skylar will be a huge asset if his post game develops, and I know from experience that a guard oriented coaching staff will have a hard time providing that. Just a thought for the future.

The team has suffered in the last 3 games because they do not have an experienced point. Matt, though a great player, is not a point.
