Agreed, Franklin needs to stay and be a true leader for this team....ie not rack up stupid T's and talk $#!+ all night. He's better than everyone he plays every night barring a few big OOC games. Shrigley with his athleticism and level head will be a huge attribute for this squad, especially after sitting out and maturing a year. Although right now I'd love another scorer off the bench, as our transfers and bench play lacks O. Anyone else think we need a coach specified for big men?? Skylar will be a huge asset if his post game develops, and I know from experience that a guard oriented coaching staff will have a hard time providing that. Just a thought for the future. I don't think (JF)he has the requisite leadership skills to truly lead. He can spark the team at times with his incredible skills but to be a true leader takes much more. Tapley perhaps? The team has suffered in the last 3 games because they do not have an experienced point. Matt, though a great player, is not a point. Next time you get a chance, have a look at the box score. We are 5/37 from the three point line recently. Shrigs probably could help with that problem.

James Rahon is the other teams best defender. With the ball in Rahon's hands, WY was a perfect 7/7 in stops.

So many assuming Shrigley would be awesome right away. This seems like the backup QB syndrome in football. Everyone wants them in the game until they are in the game. I'm sure he will be a great player, but there's no guarantee he would come in and be a composed, reliable D1 player right away.

That is very accurate, however, the guy has a great outside shot which we desperately need right now without the X Man in there. I only started this post in case there is a suspension, and further injuries.

There is not one person to blame when things do go correctly , it is the whole team. Shrigley could help but do not think just 1 player can make the difference. We have been getting beat by the other team beating us on the boards, getting easy lay ups and we have not been executing well enough to get those easy baskets. More movement on both ends of the court are needed. We need to press full court on D , use all 10 guys. If guys are not rebounding then play a zone. On offense less one on one play and more moving without the ball , pass to guys that are open , get more people involved in the offense, make the other team work on D. Jamaal, Tapley,Shepard, X , ...... all do a good job of driving to the basket, stress that over 3 point shooting. It is also important to make sure you finish when you get the opportunity.

For the life of me I can't figure out why we aren't utilizing the full court press more. Enough of this 8-man rotation... let's get Polee and JJ some meaningful minutes... even if it means they are basically only busting their a$$es on defense. At least it might wear out the other team a little more.

I only saw a desperation press at Wyoming. Might as well run full press and get the other guys involved somehow. Fish is very hesitant to run anything more than an 8 man rotation. Not sure why. he recruited very long and athletic guys, lets use them!
