A supposedly connected Houston guy on the BE board mentioned that ESPN has gotten involved with respect to having 2-4 SDSU games on ESPN2/ESPNU in the 11PM EST time slot. That meshes with the jerseyguy reporting Aresco talking about ESPN getting involved. That might be part if the Hail Mary we're going to hear from the BE on Friday. 4 BE games on ESPN, Ohio St. and ORegon St. on national TV and a bowl game on ESPN? That'd be crazy.

The fact that they're pursuing Tulsa says that they really don't care if SDSU goes. ..Sent from my GS3.. I think it also may mean that they are looking at them in addition to AFA and BYU, who are also both mentioned in the article. It also excludes UNLV and Fresno. There could be many reasons.

Is this ESPN ensuring they get the rights to our BB because we end up in the BW for BB if we stay in the BE for FB? If so it's a good sign. There will still be some appearances for us, Long Beach and Hawaii too if that is indeed the case. Might find Fullerton on espnu once or twice as well.

Don't have a problem with Tulsa! What may be a stupid question, why not U of Hawaii also. Don't know about their academics, but, it is out west(way) so FB 18 hrs a day and most every conference has played there the last 5 years and they were pretty good there off and on the last 10 years. They have their Oly sports in the BW and could play FB only with us till West Div happens.

important for the BE to understand we want an ALL Sports South/West Division and to add a true "Western" School - UNLV, FRENO, Nevada, some school from Nevada, or CA, in addition to Tulsa.

Big East adds schools that you have to be able to fill out the entire application to attend, MWC adds schools where you just mark an X with crayon in the yes box.
Outside of adding Boise, every school has been a national university, tulsa and tulane top 100 unis, meanwhile the mwc adds fresno, san jose and boise - all poorly ranked masters colleges

These would be the only tier 1 national universities in the mwc 134 CSU 156 WYO/Hawaii 165 SDSU 174 Utah State 189 UNR
Obviously AFA is a very fine, if very specific, school. THe other 5 members of the conference aren't tier 1 universities, and most are ranked below just about anyone else on the west coast - being with that type of trash is what perpetuates the myth of SDSU having poor academics.

Fresno, UNLV, San Jose, Utah State - you've got half of the original BW right there.

Want to know why the MWC will never be a big boy? Because no one goes to cocktail parties with that type of trash

No problem with Tulsa if it means one less spot for Fresno, San Jose, or any of the Rocky Mountain teams. For a western division, pick any eight from these (as long as we're one of them): SDSU BYU AFA Tulsa Houston SMU Nevada UNLV Memphis Any other program with a pulse in basketball and/or football. Because you don't live out there, I don't think you realize how small time Tulsa is. They are pretty much the Fresno State of Oklahoma.
