can u post jamaals piece,i dont have espn insider Here you go: 3. Jamaal Franklin, G/F, San Diego State Aztecs It seems like two years ago we were having this same discussion with a fellow Aztec, Kawhi Leonard. Everyone loved how hard Leonard played and his athletic ability -- but no one could quite figure out what he was. While some scouts were in love with Leonard, many others felt he was a "tweener" with a poor jump shot. He ended up getting drafted outside of the lottery in 2011 and then turned around and became one of the best rookies in the league for the Spurs. Franklin has the potential to do that, as well. His jump shot isn't great, but he plays hard, is a great athlete and is one of the best rebounders in the country. Without him, San Diego State would struggle to win against any opponent. With him, the Aztecs can beat just about anyone. We have him ranked 18th on our Big Board, but many scouts are still struggling to put him that high.

"Without him, San Diego State would struggle to win against any opponent."
Well I DEFINITELY disagree with this statement. We're still a tournament team without Jamaal. In a lot of ways I look forward to him moving on. But he definitely is a baller.

In other words, that's what playing in a conference not financed by espn will get you.

But that's an interesting thought. Would we be a Tourney team without JF? Personally, I'm not sure. We might be a 10 or 12 seed. Maybe. Or a high NIT seed. But not a Top 25 team and/or a single-digit Tourney seed. His points and rebounds would be too much of a hole to fill if he weren't in the lineup.

I disagree also He's played horrible against Syracuse and Arizona. He really struggles when he can't "out-athlete" the other team.

He did score 23 last year against NC State. He was the only one scoring against them in the first half when he was one on one with CJ Leslie. That said, I dont believe he will be drafted, nor do I believe he will be an impact NBA player.

Jamaal Franklin is just the 3rd All American in SDSU history. Seasoned NBA talent analyst like Jay Bilas and Chad Ford rank him among the most underrated players in the Country. ESPN.com has him 18th (1st Round) on their big board, and we still have Aztec fans that don't think he's good enough to get drafted at all? What's the basis? lol

With or without Jamaal, we still finish in the top 3 of the conference and win all the same games that we won. We have 10-11 guys that could all be starters for a high level Division I team. There is no top 25 team that would ever reflect his broad statement. Top 25 teams are not one-man shows. They are top 25 because their whole starting line-up is extremely strong.
