For what it's worth (probably not much)...
I used to manage many of the official collegiate athletic sites for the company that ran GoAztecs.com. Although we worked closely with each school's sports information departments, typically all of the schools kept EVERYTHING close to the vest with us, and they would never run any information before it became "official." They would rarely even give us a heads-up about, say, a coaching change for one of their programs, even if it was reported on the front page of ESPN.com.
My initial reaction is that an older image file is being used for some unintentional reason, and not as a harbinger of any potential MW or BE announcement.

But tshirt fans are so happy, they've really enjoyed the UNLV games the last 3 years We'll see how long a state university----especially in California---and is a "basketball" school, can support D1 athletics Right? So when we lose the Football team we will be a "Basketball School" in the BW.

Was there a logo in the first place? I was thinking that same thing I'm pretty sure there was, but I'm also pretty sure the banner looked entirely different. Could just be a new banner. or Perhaps the MW is so but hurt they demanded we remove it before they would negotiate with us.

Here's my prediction for the next debate: The dregs of the MWC pushing hard for a big dollar exit fee. Yoda advocated $20-$30M on the MWC board. Please, SDSU, just say no to an increase in the MWC's exit fee! I did? What the hell was I thinking? I don't think we should have an exit fee at all. There is no point to it -- everybody wants to go to a big four and nobody should be penalized for doing so. And there is nobody else to go do, at this point. I suggested a $10 mil entrance fee for Cincy and UConn -- paid back in five years if they are still here. Yoda out... .

It is written into the Memphis Contract and the Temple contracts(Google and you will find it.) in the MW dumpster fire sans UNM and UNLV instead of getting tilts against Temple, Memphis which were certain and games against UCONN and Cinci. Ya, AFA at 7K feet and SJSU in front of a baker's dozen fans. I would take UCLA, AZ, USC plus the MWC vs Those 4 teams and the Big West Conference. The Big west was ranked 20th in RP! last year, come on. You can still play UCLA, AZ, SC and add in Temple, Cinci, Uconn, or Memphis. AFA, SJSU, Nevada, Wyoming, CSU, Fresno, Boise, and USU are that much better than UCSB, LBSU, etc. I don't think so.

So when we lose the Football team we will be a "Basketball School" in the BW. not if the BW decides to invite UCSD. With a definite invite in hand, I don't think they will have much of a problem convincing students to vote yes for a move up to division 1.

New banner up has our travel itinerary: Look at that, it outlines the imaginary roadie the t-shirt fans are going to take to cache valley and SJSU for the baker's dozen fan contest.

If it was good enough for the Donners, Ft Laramie is good enough for the t-shirt fans, they might have to upgrade to becoming hoody fans, though. I wonder if they'll become imaginary cannibals

Hawaii was nice. Roadrunners?? Not so much.

Yea, like DU is going to pay your sorry asses to play in the Big Lots. UCSD students don't know what basketball is. It's down to Bakersfield or maybe Dominguez Hills or Cal State LA can join. You've got one Cal Poly, how about the other?

Ya, we get to UNLV on their court for a nuetral site game to determine the championship. Iron on t shirt fans are wetting themselves. I resent your characterization of basketball fans as brand new fans Sent from my ADR6300 using proboards
