I like this ROOMER and hope it's true.
I would take being back in the MWC any day with those teams on board.
edit: but I highly doubt the florida schools would be interested.

Boise, SMU, Houston, UCF and USF. Wild Twitter Roomer but it's out there. how about a link to the roomer And at this point, who cares, Icarus flew too close to the sun, our limit is 8 or 9 wins, might as well just start giving up like UNLV and New Mexico have

Leave the league as it is now and just add to it, and those teams would be great additions interms of having some east coast/texas presence.

So do the divisions make any sense?
Western Division Boise State & Utah State Fresno State & San Diego State Hawai'i & San Jose State Nevada & UNLV
Eastern Division Air Force & New Mexico Central Florida & South Florida Colorado State & Wyoming Houston & SMU
Kind of ugly travel for the easterners...
And if Cincinnati and UConn are desperate now, imagine how desperate they would be after this was done. Yikes...
Edit: Hey wait a minute... BYU was in there too. Now we have 17?
Yoda out...

The guy is usually in the ballpark with his "sources." More than likely some of that is true, not all of it.

Much, MUCH better option would be starting a new league or expand the BE to add a full all-sports western division. We *MUST* separate ourselves from the worthless front-range schools, or be resigned to perpetual mediocrity.

Boise is going to get their own deal and be in the MWC and we have no juice so we get our wings burnt off and return with our tail between our legs.

The only upside is that we "may" be able to negotiate our own deal as well. We'll finally be able to see what our actual value is. Either way, it won't be as much as we would have got in an all sports best of rest conference.

Either way, it won't be as much as we would have got in an all sports best of rest conference. Don't count on it. I would guess boise and byu (I still fail to see how they get re-involved in the mwc) would get special language to make their own deals. Also, the wording of the mwc being able to sell games not picked by cbs and their partner networks, tells me that we won't get to sell to fox sd, the mwc will just reup with root and the laker channel. Everyone gets screwed here except boise gets a sack of silver, WYO doesn't become more irrelevant. Everyone else gets f'd in the ear here.
