BYU, Boise, SMU, Houston, UCF and USF. Wild Twitter Roomer but it's out there. UCF and USF to the MWC? Why, that's almost as ridiculous as SDSU and Boise St going to the Big East. With that out of the way--the musical chairs of conference realignment continues. I just keep having a bad feeling about this.

Boise, SMU, Houston, UCF and USF. Wild Twitter Roomer but it's out there. how about a link to the roomer And at this point, who cares, Icarus flew too close to the sun, our limit is 8 or 9 wins, might as well just start giving up like UNLV and New Mexico have Chill, monty. Rocky is to SDSU coaches as the BigWest is to SDSU conferences, a way station to something else. In the meantime, as you say, we'll pull off the occasional upset, go to minor bowl games 2/3 of the time and lose 3/4 of the ones we go to. As to the roomer, I'd take it in a minute. However, I don't believe it's accurate for a minute either.

So do the divisions make any sense? Western DivisionBoise State & Utah State Fresno State & San Diego State Hawai'i & San Jose State Nevada & UNLV Eastern DivisionAir Force & New Mexico Central Florida & South Florida Colorado State & Wyoming Houston & SMU Kind of ugly travel for the easterners... And if Cincinnati and UConn are desperate now, imagine how desperate they would be after this was done. Yikes... Edit: Hey wait a minute... BYU was in there too. Now we have 17? Could conceivably be Hawaii for just football. But let's get real, shall we? What kind of reliable source(s) could a West Virginia supporter have about a conference his school has never been a member of?

Going to be a lot of people in that ROOM! Hate being pedantic, but I couldn't let this go. In the above context, it's spelled 'rume'.

Yes and no. THe answer is really: kind of. I'd guess he's right on everything except the floridas I'd guess he's not 100% dead wrong on anything except UCF and USF and that as to every other school, they're simply listening to a lame pitch from CBS that Craig Thompson has facilitated. I say CBS because CBS is the MWC's partner and has been negotiating with the BE so if knowledge is truly power, CBS is in the power position on this over ESPN and NBC. Particularly now that ND has left the BE, NBC would appear to be almost powerLESS in negotiating with the BE, which remains with ESPN at least until June 30. The problem with CBS, however, is that it is CBS. Meaning a mismanaged piece of crap. Granted, CBS has contracts with the NFL, the SEC and the NCAA hoops tournament, but it's been losing its hold on the latter to ESPN, only shares the NFL with Fox and has its hands tied by the SEC with regard to branching out to other corners of college football. I just hope if this roomer is half accurate that SDSU, Boise and the others don't just let BYU be the leader as another roomer is the Borg were during the first round of MWC negotiations with CBS during which the conference got reamed.

Please, no more home games against unlv, wyo, CSU, unm. I, and the other 17k who will show up for more of that $#!+, had put that to bed.

If two divisions were created for football, the front range schools would probably come to Qualcomm only half as often. As to UNLV, one assumes that if the planned stadium is ever actually built, their football team would improve considerably.
