If you took a dump on my face and missed my mouth, but got it in my eyes, I wouldn't be thinking to myself, "Thank God it missed my mouth!" If you add SDSU and Boise St. to BW they jump to 12th. And that is considering that SDSU has a mediocre RPI at the moment. I bet after new years it ends up even better. if the bw ends up a top 10 conference any year boise state and sdsu are in it you can take a dump on my face.

They'll end nonconference play with an RPI in the 70s and two top-100 wins.

Hey, I admit it, I am totally ignorant of the BW. My intent was not to throw gas on the fire that is the discussion of whether moving our non FB sports is a good or bad idea. I have been accepting of the move, not so much because I think it is good, but more because I think Sterk and co. are doing a great job under difficult circumstances. I just wanted some perspective on what the league looks like. I can hope that it will be a short stay for us there!

It will be a short stay. I'm expecting one year, hoping for two. Anything more is gravy

This was just a current look, it will mean much more at the end of non-conf play since the conference rankings shouldn't change a whole lot once conference play starts up (the conference goes 1-1 in every game).

BW is no ACC but the core of the group is young and improving. SB and Northridge are top 5 youngest team in the nation. Riverside stinks but they are also in the top 10 youngest. LB is the best of the group but they have so many new faces waiting to get started with King getting his first game tonight against UCLA. They have a few more transfers waiting for their time before conference games start. The team on the rise is Irvine. They have gotten some good recruits and will be a force in the next few years. Add this core group to SDSU, Boise and Hawaii, I can see the BW in top 10 conferences. Of course, you will wuss out on that bet of yours.

The new AD at UC Riverside is trying to get a new basketball arena built on campus. If he's successful, I feel like UCR would start getting much better talent to commit. Don't count on it. Don't they have co-ed dorms? That might help.

My high school basketball gym was better than the Northridge facilities. If I remember, Northridge has the smallest gym in the Big West. These are NAIA worthy facilities. I believe Pt. Loma has a bigger capacity, although they are now Div II.

Your junior high gym had video replay boards and a dropdown center-court scoreboard? I'm impressed.

I'm impressed. nope, but the court was sunk in, it had baseline seating, more overall seating, four entrances/exits, and two full baseline scoreboards. didn't see the center court dropdown, i guess you could call it a tie? good job Northridge.

I wouldn't count on it either. UCR has been miserable in men's hoops forever. People bag on CSUN because its gym is JUCO quality (that's not an exaggeration) but Northridge has gone to the finals of the BW tournament about a third of the time. UCR has probably never even won a game in the BW tournament, that's how horrific that program has been (now I AM exaggerating, but only slightly). Of course, as another psoter said above, this whole conversation is pretty much academic since we won't be in that conference more than three years.
