The loss to SU was because of the elements mostly but why is fisher still going with an under sized line up why not play shepard at the 3,stephens at the 4 and spencer at center against bigger teams? I know that takes tapley out but it gives us more of a chance to drive the play inside.Also Kyle anderson vs winston shepard whats the diffrence in there games anderson was the 7th overall prospect by espn and shepard 53 put there both 6'8 small forward/PG combo's and for my final question will we ever be able to get 2 0r 3 top 100 prospects at a time in the same recruiting class or is a one a year type thing what we are looking at until we get into the elite eight or final four a few times?

PG-Thames SG-Franklin SF-shepard PF-stephens c-Spencer thats why Ya but you could run Tapley, Jamaal, Shep, Stephens, Spencer and have Shep run point on offense while defending the 3 on defense. I would love to see that lineup. |

True but is shep that smooth with the ball thats why i was asking about his game compared to kyle anderson cause anderson seems smooth out there but shep seems alittle out of control and his passes seem more street ball like instead of the smart passes I would rather shep focus on devloping his game at 3 because he has legit handles,size,quickness if he could just work on his mid range jumper and ft he could be a high nba draft pick.

I think Anderson is a better offensive player than Shepard, and i wouldn't have Shep running point all game, but that line up in spurts would be pretty good I think, and I think Shep is good enough to play point for stretches and be successful.
I'm not sure what you mean by street ball, Shep is a very good passer.

no i agree he has potential to be a good passer but hes a frosh and tends to try to make a highlight pass instead of a smart pass i think shep is behind as offensive player because he hasnt been devloped at the 3 which is where he will best fit in at both college level and the nba i think he's a loul deng type player my self if he's devloped correctly

Sorry if I do i just want SDSU to be looked as a UCLA type program thats in the final 4 year in and year out I'm very excited about sheps potential I just dont want him to be looked at as a backup Point guard more then the Offensive and deffensive force he could be if he was developed more at the 3

If you think Spencer was going to have more success against Syracuse than Tapley then you do sound stupid. Spencer is so raw offensively. Offensively he had no chance against the Syracuse bigs. |

Spencer is in for rebounding and deffense not offense so your the not so smart one i said shep has big time offense potenial not spencer i like spencer energy,defense and rebounding he gives us a legit big fyi

The answer is simple. Fisher goes with the best lineup and smaller teams can beat bigger teams. Our bigs totally dominated UConn and the Aztecs still lost. |

Really? He actually got insde against there bigs thats why he was fouled so many times if he worked on his ft shooting alittle and it was in doors he would have had 12-14 pts or more so actually i'm not as stupid as you think Spencer only played 3 minutes and never went to the free throw line so I'm not sure what you mean. And all of our bigs "got inside" against their bigs. And then when they tried to finish they got swatted off the boat. Syracuse had 10 blocks. |

at first i thought you were talking about shep as i said spencer doesnt need to give us much on offense but he gives us size,better inside defense and rebounds tapley didnt play too well either another guy with size might have given us more of an edge

If anyone offers there opinion on this site all you know it alls are quick to react well the smaller lineups not going to work in the tournament and fraklin while being a solid player is not good enough to carry this team into the elite 8 by him self how did we get to the sweet 16 in 2010? by having a traditional lineup thats how!

UCONN should have taken Kemba Walker out of their lineup, they would have won the national championship with much wider margins (due to the additional height they get).  |
