Also to be clear I think our starting line up is perfect. I just wouldn't mind seeing a Tapley/Jamaal/Shep/Stephens/Spencer or Johnson lineup for stretches.

1st off, starting lineup is not as important as most people think. If you look at the numbers an avg team only has their starting five all together on the court less than 20% of the time.
As far as our size being a big issue; we are not that small. Look at Butler in their champioship years, for certain they had one true center but across the board their effective height was near the bottom. Now I know that is just one example, but there are others that show that smaller teams can win.
Specifically what we need: our rebounding to stay solid, specifically on the offensive end. I think Obrien and Stephens have shown growth and are at the levels they should be, if James Johnson can be solid then we will be good int his aspect. But when we were at our peak we were one of the best teams in the nation on the glass.
Also, we need to avoid lower seeds that rely on the 3. Our defense would rather give up the perimeter shot, than risk sending you to the line; so come tourney time Im hoping for matchups against teams that attack the rim.
Diversify offensively, we did a good job getting to the line last week, if we continue that and are capable of hitting threes then I think with our athleticism we'll be good enough on the offensive end.
Lastly, get a lil lucky. I the last decade only about 1/2 the time does the best team in the nation win it all; we don't have to be the best team Nov-Feb, just the best in March. We are good enough to be that team

LOL, you are calling ME stupid? IMO, Tapley is the best all aorund player on the team, even better than Franklin. He just isn't as flashy and was not needed, in his role, as much as Franklin was last year. My point is that you can't just play people because of height. This is a top 25 team that will manhandle most teams they face this year. Your other thread was complaining that we aren't recruiting the Fab 5 every year. C'mon, really? Stop the bitchin already! Or are you just a troll?
