I'm not very enthusiastic about Dingwell's future as THE quarterback. I doubt that he is the starter next year. To me his accuracy reminds me of Lindley, except Lindley had unique receivers. And I don't think he makes good decisions, which of course can be brushed aside by his lack of experience, but my sense is that it's deeper than that. Keep taking shots, you're bound to be right one of these times. Taking shots? You mean as you just did? Why not instead discuss the point like an adult? Nothing of what I said was personal or "taking a shot".

Lindley doesn't win those two games that Dingwell did. Dingwell is a winner.

Competition should decide the starter. There is no reason to replace Dingwell.

If Dingwell continues to play well in WHYoming, he should start in the Bowl. I don't think Ryan, who has a hard cast on his lower leg will be able to be in game shape for an early bowl or would we get the rhythm with his different style. Thank you Ryan, we appreciate you coming in and being a leader at a time we really needed it! It is the Dingwell era now. He is our Kurt Warner. "If Dingwell continues to play well in WHYoming," Continues to play well? What have you been watching ? Dingwell has been off the last 2 games. We beat Boise st. with Kazee and Muema along with special teams not Ding. His throwing has been way off overthrowing, under throwing making receivers adjust their routes to make up for the lack of accuracy. Case in point the last throw to Escobar in the Boise state game instead of leading him down the sideline for what would of been a TD he throws a back shoulder pass causing him to catch and go out of bounds. I hope the coach's open it up this spring and give Jeffries a chance, we all might just be surprised or again all agree Dingy is the one.

I am wondering why Adam has not been running more the last two games? Seems like he has purposely avoided scrambling or even designed runs like he did in the Nevada game and earlier in the year when he came in for Ryan. Is Rocky worried about losing another QB? Also if Ryan is back in Decmber in time for a bowl game, who starts? The better passer or the kid who lead you to two of the biggest victories in the history of our program? Thoughts? Kid is probably just doing what the coaches tell him to do. Ding gets the bowl game start because he has done more for this program than beat Hawaii, CSU, & N. Dakota with a lot less "experience". ;D ;D ;D

They said a while ago that Katz is done (i.e., not coming back before the bowl). Which means it is nice to have the discussion, but Katz is not going to be ready.

This thread needs to relax itself. We should all just be laughing and saying, it's a good day when you're in a position that when qb1 goes down his backup can come in, win, and take over the offense. He has talent and talent around him, we're in a good spot.

Rocky has said that Katz needs several months before he's 100%. He won't be available for a bowl game.
Boise St. was one of those games that the ONLY thing that matters is the W. And that pass to Escobar on the final drive was as good as it gets.
Yes, he was off on some passes yesterday, but Ludwig called it close to the vest. And, by the way, we won by 19!
We're 8-3 and bowling for 3 consecutive years for the first time. Enjoy it!

And no injuries, ta-boot. "Close to the vest" includes the position to limit injuries.

Ludwig is playing "Martyball" and it's working. Ding just needs to be steady and be ready to make plays when his number is called to pass. He's still developing and I'm liking his progress. He's also a gamer which brings all the guys up.

Sipe told him when Dingwell throws 10 passes for the same routes, you get different results. Sounds like accuracy issues to me. Hopefully it can be tweaked with footwork, in the pocket. The bye week is timely so he can work it out. His completion % @ Wyoming should be an good indication on whether or not it's fixable.

As long as the Aztecs don't have to play the Colts in a bowel game, then we are good to go!
They fired a 13-2 coach. Really?

If we applied your logic, we'd have benched Lindley for some head-scratchers that he threw. Dingwell has command and respect. He has won some enormous games for us that transcend some bad passes. He adds dimension with his legs, although it looks like Ludwig has kept him home a bit lately. No doubt that Jeffries will have his shot but there is something to say about consistency and experience rather than a pattern of switching out key positions. I like the idea of a 1 going into Spring and what it can do for us in the longer run.

Got my group signed up last night, unless any of us go to it in person.

And about Lindley I thought several times Lindley should of been benched for a "couple plays" to get his head right, by no means the entire game. I guess you and I will never agree. All I want to see is that the other QB's get a chance meaning Jefferies to see what he can do. Don't forget Borges and Hoke were high on this kid.
