Meanwhile SDSU is fighting for tablescrap Big West recruits like 0star scrubs like Der'reyll Williams(Good job beating out San Fran, Long Beach, and UCSB for that kid LMAO ) LBSU will get 3-star recruits going forward. Or pick up transfers like former 5 star guy Keala King. rivals.yahoo.com/basketballrecruiting/basketball/recruiting/player-Keala-King-98223Granted, there were some issues at Arizona State but 5 stars is 5 stars. I have said this a few times already here on the Mesa, but for perspective's sake it is worth repeating to our Rebel/Ruble friends: UCSB graduated all of their key players and none of them - Jaime Serna, James Nunnally, Orlando Johnson, Greg Somogyi - were given more than 2 stars coming out of high school. All will be playing professionally somewhere. Three of these guys participated in the NBA's summer league; two were in preseason camp, and one was a second round draft pick. Sometimes those "0 star scrubs" can develop well enough to become pros. you just never know

i JUST found out that vegas-nevada hasn't won the MW regular season since 1999-2000. holy hell no wonder they are so stoked on a relatively good roster. and then i laughed out loud when i re-realized they hadn't won a tournament ON THEIR HOME FLOOR in the past 5 years. and i use "their home floor" very loosely. It's arguably the most overrated basketball program in the country. Every year the Rebels pull off a big OOC upset and then all the lame assed members of the media too lazy to pay close attention to what they do thereafter start mentioning them for the Elite Eight. Then every year as the season PROgresses the Rebels REgress. Not arguable. Though UNM gets too much hype as well.

A team of players that UNLV 'passes' on or is 'table scraps' would beat UNLV 9 out of 11 - oh wait, it has Pretty much, you guys are a broken record. Just like UCSB you have to rely on a situational statistics to make you feel better about your little irrelevant program compared to UNLV, every stat you and UCSB have against UNLV is twisted in some convenient time-frame. UNLV is a nationally recognized program, whenever ESPN does a ranking of Top MBB programs UNLV is never listed outside the Top-20... Top 5 winningest program of All-Time. It all speaks for itself. Just like UCSB, your biggest bragging rights stem from beating UNLV, even though UNLV owns the all-time against both of you...and now you'll be in the same conference as them. ;D Priceless....10 years from now you can reminisce of your glory days of beating UNLV when watching UNLV compete in Final Fours to distract you from the Aztec's NIT seeding. 2 NCAA Tournament Victories All-Time..Your program's crowning achievements the last 20 years(and all-time) doesn't even match UNLV's worst, darkest years. Congrats on that 0-star Williams kid, I guess we'll just have to be content with another 5-star talent. ;D

You all come here on our turf, talk about situational stats (recruit rankings and class rankings) and remind us of how well you did way back in the latter part of the last millennium and ignore the fact that you can't beat us despite having those incredible recruit statistics. Come back when you win a season series against us. Until then, you are merely a barking dog, chained to a post.

The top rated show in Vegas is, Hea, Remember the 90s. Maybe if you guys went back to the Big Lots you wouldn't have less MWC championships than SDSU and have been to the same round of the tournament as SDSU

See if you can work out a schedule with the Big Lots where the Rebels don't have to play UCSB or SDSU

you guys are a broken record. Says the pot to the kettle. Annual pre-season UNLV mantra: "We've got a top 10 recruiting class and you Aztecs don't so we're going to be much better than you next year. Nanner, nanner, nanner." Annual pre-conference season UNLV mantra: "We've got a victory over a top 10 OOC opponent and you Aztecs don't so we're going to be much better than you in MWC play. Nanner, nanner, nanner." Annual pre-MWC tournament UNLV mantra: "You Aztecs might have somehow finished above us in the regular season standings but we're going to curb stomp you and everybody else on our way to the tourney title." You Rebels are just funny as hell. Or pathetic perhaps.

Remember, when you travel to the Thomas and Monty arena on UNLV's campus to watch SDSU win again this year either during the season or during the Aztec Invitational, you are traveling back in time. Refresh your memory on 1990 to reduce the shock that a time traveler goes through. www.thepeoplehistory.com/1990.htmlIf you want to raise a bit of money for the tables, stock up on pogs, those things are hot there

Your x out of y, taken right before UNLV's latest string of wins, 21 years, 7 years, whatever it takes to put SDSU ahead while ignoring any logical timeframes..Like since the inception of the MWC (series tied) or overall (UNLV owns it) Can't beat you with incredible recruits? We haven't played a game with them yet. What are you basing your opinion on here? You guys are jumping the gun here, the biggest recruiting class of the last 20 years hasn't suited up for a game yet. So once again, your preconceived assumptions of how UNLV will do despite their Top-10 recruiting class, or how our 5-star talent will shake-up are just that. Assumptions.
