Per the Rivals Udub site, Darin will be making his decision today. I was hoping he would go to midnight madness for one more look at us. It also mentions us being in the top two for Isaac Hamilton. Which seems to be the on-going belief but Washington is the other top choice instead of Baylor. sandiegostate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1420530

I see him at Cal or Udub.... Think you mean Oregon or Udub, and I agree.

Yeah, if he's not going to make it through the weekend, then he's going elsewhere. I wonder if he'll still come down for Madness on the Mesa tomorrow if he commits to another school today.
Doubt it.

haha i love these boards and their continual attempts at inaccurate reporting, only to try and say they had it "first".

2013 combo guard Darin Johnson of Sheldon (CA) will announce his college decision on Sunday, he says That is good news and we should have good chance if he makes it down tomorrow which I am sure he is still planning to make with his teammates. One of the reason I think Oregon may be out is because of the Robinson twins commitment there.

Are we really going to take Allen - SF, Hamilton - SG and Johnson - SG, in the same class??? I certainly don't want to turn away fantastic talent, but don't we need a couple of PFs? We are already thin at 4 and 5.

We are already thin at 4 and 5. With Rahon, Tapley and perhaps Franklin leaving next year, we could use two SGs in this class to compliment Shrigley. Much like "the big boys," from this point forward, kids will have to compete and earn every minute on the floor, and I think Fisher echoed that in his first presser. If we continue to recruit the way we have the last three years, then expect kids to "get in line" for playing time. We won't land a PF in this class now that Marcus Lee cut us, which makes it a big priority for next year. Well, to be honest, PFs are always a priority in the NCAA. Maybe we can land another PF transfer this year again? Who knows.

If Johnson commits then Hamilton won't be coming here.

We are already thin at 4 and 5.4 - Polee SO 4 - O'Brien SO 4 - Shepard FR 5 - Johnson SO 5 - Spencer FR I wouldn't say we are thin going forward considering how young these guys are. We'll have plenty of time to build more depth.

2014, all focus will be on PG and PF (if we dont get a transfer before then). We need shooting guards badly in 2013 with Tapley and Rahon leaving. Would love to land both Johnson and Hamilton - really hoping we get Isaac though - Kid has a legit chance at being a McDonald's All-american. A consensus top 40 (top 30 on some sites) player in his class.
As for a 2014 PG, a big selling point will be that we have absolutely nobody at PG after next season. Whoever we sign will be handed the keys to a Ferrari.

If Johnson commits then Hamilton won't be coming here. You have it wrong, but that isn't anything new.

If Isaac commits..........do we also get a commit from the younger brother at the same time? If so, then doesn't that solve the PG situation?

It would essentially guarantee us getting Daniel as well, but you never know though. Isaac is not being recruited as a PG. If Isaac commits..........do we also get a commit from the younger brother at the same time? If so, then doesn't that solve the PG situation?
