Big time coaches (Urban, Saban, etc) will give respect to opponents, but never are they afraid and telling people their opponents are good. They just say nice things to be polite and whoop them up. I get so tired of Rocky giving himself an "out" before games he should win. If they happen to lose he can say "I told you so". I think that isn't the mentality of a good coach. Prepare for the worst, expect the best, but don't tell your team the opponent is good so many times your team begins to believe it! Come on, have some sack and tell your guys we are better and will show them come Saturday. Must be cool to be in the locker room with the team and to be able to go to all of the closed team meetings... you are a lucky guy. You missed the point. I am talking about what the coach says to the media. I am certain the players can read.

He wouldn't admit that Utah was the better team in the Sugar Bowl.

But a defense as good to merit the name "THE DARKSIDE" would have surely at least lead the team to at least 6 wins, right? Maybe we should just change it to "that one year Kirk Morrison was a badass" They won 6 games in 2003, no bowl invite. One of the losses that season was to Ohio State 16-13 (3 pts). In that game our QB threw an INT which was returned 100 yards for a TD... tell me how the D should have stopped that play. The "Dark Side" was 1998, the Rico Curtis days

You're entitled to struggle with your own version of it any way you'd like. I really don't have as much time as you seem to in tracking down people who don't agree with your version. And I certainly don't waste time with people who struggle to reach up to the level of 9th grade boy's gym. Kind of nonproductive. I'm not struggling with anything, just calling a spade a spade. Track you down? WTF are you talking about? The phrase predates the use of the word "spade" as an ethnic slur against African Americans, which was not recorded until 1928; however, in contemporary U.S. society, the idiom is often avoided due to potential confusion with the slur[1] and/or confusion with playing card references such as "black as the ace of spades".

There's a difference between the two uses and it's used all of the time in "contemporary U.S. society" unless you're a uber sensitive vajayjay.
