an opposing player you saw last year. a future conference opponent. = on topic I was going to mention this the previous time you started a thread talking about a UCSB athlete but held back because well I thought it would be a one time deal... You honestly think that it is 'on topic' on an AZTEC fan board to speak about any and all athletes from any and all sports from any and all the schools in the same conference as SDSU?? Sorry, it is not even close. Please do us all a favor and at least put this in the Other Colleges topic section. I guarantee no one here is posting 'SDSU athlete wins X award' on the Guacho board. (Oh, and I like UCSB.) Thanks.

Off topic and psotter has taking hijacking to a new level, instead of threads, he's going after forums.
Don't care, appropriate for a gaucho board, not here, IMO.

Items dealing with shools and players belonging to any conference of which SDSU is currently a member are quite on topic here. That includes the Big West Conference (even though we will not officially play a game in said conference until a year from now).

WLR Is it still on topic if it pertains to a player who no longer plays at that school?

WLR Is it still on topic if it pertains to a player who no longer plays at that school? Fair question......and I like jdgaucho....and generally dislike non-mods appointing themselves post police......but still - jd, even though its understandably of great interest to you, most of us Aztec fans couldn't give a rat's arse about another school's player getting a tryout. Yes, you had one player drafted this year, and the MWC didn't, and we know you're quite proud of that fact (you've pounded it in to our heads many times). We doubt it's going to happen next year, but if it does, you'll be that much closer to being a conference rival, and we may start giving a fart. But I doubt most of us will care until we've had at least one year of playing in the BW under our belts. Until then, I vote for this thread going to 'other schools', or whatever the thread is called that I never read. But I know it is up to the mods and I defer to their judgement.

It is a player who we will never play again signing something that isn't important. Please spare us.
If you google "Lakers sign" in quotes you get 124,000 hits. I am sure a player who averaged 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 12 minutes a game for UCSB in 4 years will not suddenly become a real Laker. He was signed, like a lot of players, to give the real Lakers folks to practice against.

WLR William, I have to ask, and I completely understand it is your board and you should do as you please with it, but you feel it is perfectly fine for someone to post about any athlete in any sport from any school from the conference (s) in which SDSU is a member? If so, I will look forward to seeing many posts about the 5 guys from UCONN and Syracuse who got NBA tryouts, CSUN's women's crew captain, Rutger's water polo standouts, Riverside's starting left handed pitcher, and so on...
