The passion here on the Mesa is great. It's why I like it here.
Part of being a good sport is knowing when to stop. I'm done putting up SB related topics on the main board. Two is enough; there won't be any more until y'all join the BW; they will go in the non-mwc/big west board.
fair enough?
I also support moving the thread

I also support moving the thread If the admins say it's all good then it's all good. The reality is that we need UCSB to continue to improve in all aspects and attract attention to their programs in any way they can, especially bball. A strong UCSB team is good for everyone moving forward. Sure, this post turned messy but stick to your guns, Gaucho.

Items dealing with shools and players belonging to any conference of which SDSU is currently a member are quite on topic here. That includes the Big West Conference (even though we will not officially play a game in said conference until a year from now). WLR William, I have to ask, and I completely understand it is your board and you should do as you please with it, but you feel it is perfectly fine for someone to post about any athlete in any sport from any school from the conference (s) in which SDSU is a member? If so, I will look forward to seeing many posts about the 5 guys from UCONN and Syracuse who got NBA tryouts, CSUN's women's crew captain, Rutger's water polo standouts, Riverside's starting left handed pitcher, and so on... Well, I think that's been the policy all along. But think back. Have we been inundated with threads about Colorado State women's volleyball or New Mexico's skiing team (yes, they have one)? I don't think so. Our policy has been to give posters maximum freedom consistent with good taste and legal considerations. The problem is this; if we are not going to allow posts about this or that school or sport, where do we draw the line? WLR

I like how positive threads about another team is off topic. Meanwhile, if this player got busted with PCP and hookers or committed an NCAA violation it would go 10 pages without anyone bitching. Let the guy talk about his squad, if you're not interested then don't reply.
Congratulations to Greg by the way. Its always great to see a kid get a shot at a dream.

not lookin good for Somogyi. He started out nicely in the first preseason game but was downright awful in the last two, vs Portland and Utah. Stu Lantz said he needs to put on some serious muscle in his lower body and work on bending the knees a little to improve lateral quickness.
