This is my preseason All Conference teams 1st Team All MWC Kendall Williams UNM Chase Tapley SDSU Jamaal Franklin SDSU Chase Stanback UNLV Drew Gordon UNM 2nd Team Oscar Bellfield UNLV Tony Snell UNM Michael Lyons AF Xavier Thames SDSU Garrett Green SDSU Defensive POY: Drew Gordon MVP:Drew Gordon/Chase Stanback Because your orbit seems to revolve solely around Jamaal Franklin ... you seem to not even be aware of what is going on in the rest of the conference (or our own team). And you missed some names that might completely dominate the all conference teams ... partly because of talent and partly because they play for bad teams and they will be expected to carry them. There are numerous newcomers that could have huge years and underclassmen that will step up into huge roles, including ... The 3 aussie's coming into the conference will all be solid, especially Greenwood (NM) and Anthony Drmic (Boise St). These two combined for 36 pts 9 assists and 7 rebounds when they played the USA U-19 team this summer (USA beat Australia 78-77). And both players will probably start and play big roles for their teams. Mike Moser (unlv) has been reported to be their best player during practices. It's very possible he comes in and has a similar impact on the MWC as Gordon had for NM last year. Leonard Washington (WYO) should be the starting PF and average close to a double double. Hopefully our team is more balanced and the numbers and minutes are spread around. Wow. Moser's credentials look impressive. And I also heard Leonard Washington's a really good dice player.

No. He's just the best shooting guard in the conference and I seem to be the only person who knows that right now. Mike Moser sat the bench at UCLA the same way JF sat at SDSU. Have you heard who the best player is during SDSU practices??? Just curious... I've seen them both in an open setting...Jamaal is better than Mike. I did miss Leonard Washington...he should make All conference (sorry Garret Green). CAn't really speak on the freshman so i'll take your word for it. Your main problem seems to be that I think Jamaal will be 1st team. Live with it, it's true! ;D

+1 Chase can play D. I think he was the best def player on the team. He also was in the shadow of DJ, BW, KL, MT so it this is his year to shine. JF is a good player. he will shine as well as the rest of the team. LBF, JR, etc "Chase needs to improve his defense?" Uh, who stole the freaking ball in the MWC Tourney Semi-final game? If Chase does not steal the ball, do Aztecs beat UNLV and get rematch with BYU? Hmmm. ALL-MWC. Gentlemen, awards and accolades are based on who the Coaches, Media and etc.. like. Its polictics. However, the player that scores the most points always gets the awards. So, if Rahon scores the most points, he will be All MWC; if Thames scores the most points, he will be All MWC and etc.. Coaches, Media and anyone else could care less about who plays defense, who gets rebounds, who gets the steals. It has been and always will be, whoever scores the most points for the team gets the award. Here's an example. Wyoming's Afam Muojeke (sp?) was predicted as an All MWC performer last season and he did not even play! His selection was based on past performance. So, whichever player scores the most points for the Aztecs this season, said player "may" get selected as All MWC. Personally, I like to see Aztecs go to the NCAA Tournament, hang banners and get Championships rings!

JF is a good player. he will shine as well as the rest of the team. LBF, JR, etc The team lacked perimeter D last year. That's why all the NBA bound guards (Jimmer, Kemba, Lamb) torched us. Jamaal was the only person that showed the ability to stay in front and challenge those guys. Too bad he was too low on the depth chart to stay in the game extended minutes. Contrary to popular opinion, Jamaal is a much better defender than Chase. He's longer, faster, and way more athletic. Now he may be a better help side defender than Jamaal, I'll give you that... "Chase needs to improve his defense?" Uh, who stole the freaking ball in the MWC Tourney Semi-final game? If Chase does not steal the ball, do Aztecs beat UNLV and get rematch with BYU? Hmmm. BBall Anal-yst, we all thought you went away with your tale between your legs, we were wrong. You came back like a bad case of herpes. We just can't get rid of you! Oh well. I think the issue of who you are will be resolved when the season starts. You will be so Man-Love obsessed with Jamaal you wont be able to resist yourself and run out on the court to kiss his converse!!! ALL WILL BE REVEALED!!!
