Funny that the UT bitches about not being able to talk to players after practice yet fail to show up for weekly presser...

Geesh. There was a time, in RECENT history, that the Aztecs would've rolled over and claimed "Moral Victory" and let it go at that.
It's hard, but actually a huge step in the right direction that they were inconsolable after that loss. It meant something. Football is a huge emotional tilt-o-whirl for players. Winning™ had been long forgotten before Brady Hoke and Rocky Long came into town.
Say what you will, but the team CARED enough about that loss to let it affect them. That's a HUGE step in this program.

BTW, I do think Tim S. went on a bit too much, though something had to be mentioned. Do you actually believe the B-Ball players were any less crushed after loosing a very close, and controversial game in the sweet 16 to U Conn?? The point is they came spoke with the press, just like they did after the other 2 looses. I don;t know if you remember the Chris Weber T.O that may have cost the Fab 5 the championship, but coach Fisher had Weber speak to the press then also. It is something the great coaches do. I will still bet that if a similar situation comes up for Rocky, he will ask for at least one player to speak with the press. It is a big time college athletic program thing to do. I get that you think Long should have had the players speak to the press. And I understand if you were the coach that is what you would do because you feel that is what big time athletic programs do. I just wanted to point out a few things for you.... You asked 'do i actually believe the b-ball players were any less crushed with their loss?' Well, I never commented on it other than saying, I do not know. I have no idea how either set of players feel about their situations... how could I unless I was on both teams? Also, you comment about Fisher having Weber talk to the press after his infamous time out... about that being something great coaches do. I will agree that is something some great coaches do. However, my thought on a great coach is that they understand that not every situation is the same and they do what they feel is best in the situation they are dealing with at the time. Btw, I am not debating that Weber was any more or less devastated. I am simply saying, to me, it is not an issue. Apparently it is to you so I shall move on. Great, I agree! GO AZTECS!

Funny that the UT bitches about not being able to talk to players after practice yet fail to show up for weekly presser... This. What a bunch of whiny babies. I bet it was on purpose as well. Like a punishment: "If you don't give us access to your players, we won't give you guys coverage". Too bad the Aztecs will keep on winning and they'll have no choice to cover Aztec Fever Part II.

I had KUSI 9 News on this morning and Paul Rudy had a teaser "Aztec players finally speak after loss to Michigan, tonight at 10 pm." Does anyone know if an interview has already taken place? I'm not sure if we really even need to hear any postgame quotes myself. We all know the players are extremely disappointed in their performance and had a lot of emotion put on this game. I watched the news and it had about 30 sends on the topic. Basically Lindley said the players were all very emotional after the loss and they didn't want to "say anything stupid."
