It showed that we are much weaker in our receiving core.

Tough to catch a ball that's thrown too hard or way off target.
O-line wasn't helping by not giving Lindley any time. So, he got rattled.

i think bad throws were the bigger issue of the day even the throws that were completed to the receivers were either high and behind them, or underthrown.

I think you meant to say too many bad throws. The drops were in general not easy catches. Most of Lindley's throws were off target: High, low, too far outside, too far inside. He was bad. Don't blame the receivers for that.

Don't blame the receivers for that. Lindley didn't have a good game, but Lockett dropped two perfectly thrown passes on 3rd down, killing drives in UM territory.

It was brutal game. Started with the line getting blown up and getting terrible penalties, Hillman fumbling 2x, dropped passes, horrible throws on wide open receivers, too much Denard, etc.
We had a chance to get back in it in the second half. The D made some stops and forced turnovers, but just could not move the ball.
This one hurts.

i think bad throws were the bigger issue of the day Lindley had a bad day. The offensive line did not protect him from the rush well but he just as often rushed his passes when he had time.

I saw too many bad throws....on that fourth and short he threw behind Escobar....the rest is either the receiver cut the other way or Lindley misread the cut.....not sure but it looked bad. To many underthrown passes as well.

Bad day for Ryan.... Need to bounce back..... Hillman looked stuck in the mud as well.. I thought Hillman looked fine when he wasn't fumbling the ball. 5.2 yards per carry in the Big House...I'll take it.

Turnovers (fumbles) didn't help either.
Gotta hold on to the ball.

I thought it wasnt the receivers at all. Lindley s passes were way off the mark, either over thrown or not even close. He was flat out pathetic today. Reminded me of the Missouri game. He left his helmet on the bus for a 5th year senior.

i think bad throws were the bigger issue of the day Yep!! Both were a problem. But let's try to be objective. We signed Lindley at a time when our football program was the worst it had been in half a century. So he was as good as it was going to get and I suspect he hasn't been as good as either Jeffries or Morin are going to be. My biggest annoyance is the lack of talent at wide receiver. There is absolutely no excuse for that. If Borges had been as good a recruiter as some argue, neither Denso nor Lockett would have started this year. Hell, considering he's just 5'11", Sandifer wouldn't have started this year had we recruited properly at that position. Don't misunderstand me. I'm not bagging on Lockett and Denso. Both try very hard and have some talent. However, they absolutely should not be starting if Al Borges had done as great a job as some think he did.
