disappointed it wasn't competitive. UM is just better. SDSU will still go bowling. Building the program two steps forward one step back.

Lindley just terrible. Makes no sense. Michigan's lines dominated ours, both on Offense and Defense. Lindley was not comfortable and he was throwing poor passes. He was rushing himself at times when he did not need to. Other times he needed to.

Lindley was just terrible dude. We drove the football down the field so many times. We can not just execute and make those drives result in points. I expected Lindley to come out strong but it may be one of those nights that every qb has....Just one flat-out terrible performance.

They dominated in the trenches, no question. Michigan plays THROUGH the whistle and they'll pile people on the ball carrier (even when he's down). You'll notice our defense started doing the same thing in the second half.
This is aggressive style, smash mouth type football. We got OUTMUSCLED, pure and simple. Michigan put on a clinic.
If you don't understand it, go back to Flag Football.
Oldie Out

Denard Robinson is just damn good with the ball in his hands. I'd have to look at the stats, but it sure seemed to me that there was very little Michigan offense outside of a Robinson designed QB run or a read option where the D keyed on Robinson.

The quality of players at Michigan is just bigger, better and faster overall than SDSU. It showed today. Throw in a clench-your-ass day by Ryan Lindley and you pretty much got what you saw.

They just pounded us up front, end of story. Watching Embernante get pushed around was disheartening. The D line just couldn't hold up when it had to against Michigan's great running back--Robinson. Aztecs, road game, big crowd. Doesn't mix, good luck with that one. We still have not overcome our road issues, we haven't taken that step yet. Rocky says his team needs to get tougher and I'm sure he'll eventually toughen us up enough to play a big game on the road in front of a big crowd. The Fred Noonan School of Navigation.

He was rushing himself at times when he did not need to. Other times he needed to. This. Their defensive front just MANHANDLED our O'Line. Lindley didn't look very poised back there under pressure, and as a result, overthrew alot of balls. Hillman's fumbles didn't help much.

I don't understand what L.A. means by Michigan just being better. If he's saying at QB, I agree since Lindley was awful today. If he's saying Michigan's highly criticized D-line is better than our O-line, I agree with that too. In fact, I think Michigan's D-line is just starting to come into its own after being horribly coached by Greg Robinson for three years.
If L.A. means something else, I immensely disagree. Their running backs are mediocre, their receivers didn't show me anything and their secondary allowed our modestly talented receivers to be open all day long. Had Lindley been given any time to throw and not been so off target, the outcome could have been much different.

This and throughout the first half when the outcome was decided, our LBs were awful. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too often out of position. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too often.

Michs running backs were pedestrian at best. Take out Robinson & they would gain 1-2 yds!

Michs running backs were pedestrian at best. Amazing isn't it? I've followed Michigan football a fair amount for more than 30 years and I think this is the worst group the Wolverines have ever had.
