Bekays the writer of that commentary kept mentioning that Oklahoma should stay connected to Texas and made a good case for west coast recruiting. It'll be interesting to see if the Texas to the Big 10 has any traction. If so, what does Oklahoma do? I suspect they still get a PAC 10 invite but SEC? And the big question for me anyway, is what does this mean for the MWC? Where will we be when all this is said and done. I find myself hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

Well, now they are reporting this: KOCO News Channel 5 in Oklahoma City ran a report saying Oklahoma quarterbacks coach Josh Heupel received a text message confirming OU was headed to the SEC. SoonerScoop.com just spoke with Josh Heupel as he was attending a function in Louisiana for induction into the Independence Bowl Hall of Fame where Heupel denied the report

I'm not sure what to believe, but aTm & OU to the SEC seems plausible, iff (if and only if) the SEC can open-up their contract.

The talk tonight seems to be that the SEC is trying hard to get Texas but isn't getting anywhere, that A&M would prefer to go south than west and that Oklahoma is basically tying itself to Texas. I also read somewhere that the Pac-10 said in his news conference this afternoon that he was willing to limit expansion to only a few teams.

Right now the report is saying Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are going to the Pac-10 with or without Texas A&M.
SEC commish Mike Slive laying the red carpet to get Texas AND A&M. Offered to move 2 teams from SEC W to SEC E for them

And if you don't like the way it is now, wait a bit. It'll change.

Oklahoma AD remains hopeful about saving Big 12 rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=tsn-oklahomaadremainshopBad news if the Big-12 sticks together and starts picking off MWC teams. If the Pac10 adds one more team (Utah?) and Big-12 adds Nebraska + ND/Big East team, then 4 BCS leagues will have 12 teams: Pac10, Big10, SEC, and ACC. Big12 would likely look to add 2 teams.
