Wouldn't it be funny if the PAC 10 and TEXAS schools end up doing SDSU & TCU a big favor? Let me explain. If the PAC10 takes the six schools they plan to take and the MWC then mergers with the BIG12 we finally get the BCS status we deserve. They takes away a big recruiting tool the PAC10 / Texas schools have used against SDSU and TCU. I am not saying we would get all of their recruits, but we would have another reason to come to our schools. Look at what BCS status has done for schools like South Florida, UCONN, Rutgers, CINN.
This could be the best thing to ever happen to us....at least that is would I am trying to convincing myself of.

I don't think we get BCS status that way. In my opinion what you are seeing is a new "exclusive club" of 4 mega conferences that will exclude everyone else from the party. The "left overs" from the Big 12 are just that----they are left overs that will not be welcomed to the party----otherwise they'd be gone with the others. I hope I'm wrong but that's what I see these greedy b-----ds doing!!

There used to be specific rules governing bankruptcies, too. You, know, such as creditors with lesser standing not given precedence over creditors with higher standing? Times do change, don't they? And not always for the better. I'd say that the BCS has decided that the heat is getting too much to stay as it was and that a reshuffling of the (cold) deck is now in order. AzWm

Peope, The BCS is done. Its just a label anyway -a label for the exclusive club that controls all of the money.
The new colusive agreement will be hammered out here in the next year or so. Rest assured, SDSU will not be at the big table when the dust settles.
CU fired a premptive strike to keep their seat. Texas was looking to demote them in favor of Baylor. CU struck first. Game changer.
