Upon further review, the call on the field has been overturned . . . by popular demand! As you can see, Aztec and MWC topics now have a common home. Topics concerning other teams and conferences have their own section, as well.
There may yet be some disagreement as to what relates to the Aztecs and the MWC and what does not, but lets try to use common sense here. If the topic of your thread does not have a pretty close tie in with SDSU or the MWC, please post in the Other Colleges and Conferences section. As in all cases, the administrators will have to be the final arbiters.
As for merging threads, we are still considering how that should be done. How to do it technically is one thing. How it will work out in practice may be another. For one thing, Erik and I do not have unlimited time, and a lot more time will be needed to peruse every post in two or three threads that may be candidates for consolidation. It's possible that two threads with similar topics are nevertheless distinct enough in focus that they warrant remaining separate. (Another possible course of action open to us is simply to delete or close a new thread that is virtually the same as one recently begun. That possibility entails obvious drawbacks. . . who is going to want the administrators to decide his thread is not needed?)
Feel free to PM me or Erik with suggestions on specific cases where you think that action would be helpful. Keep in mind that merging two threads, each of which might run to three, four, or even more pages, could end up with a single thread, but a pretty darned big one.
Oh, yes. The new masthead was submitted by Lath19. More to come.
