;D How incredible for all of us to wake up each day and now wonder, who's on the "bubble." Not the Aztecs!

It's funny seeing SDSU's road/neutral record compared to the others in that list.

"For now, consider them the TCU of the basketball world and enjoy the ride."
Gawd, I hate how the BCS has seeped into everything. In college hoops (and college fball, for that matter), you're either good or not. SDSU is good. So we're supposed to be happy that we're even in the conversation about a No. 1 seed, even though we'll probably get screwed out of it in the end by a BCS conference team with a marshmallow OOC sked? Puh-leeze. I'll pass on that, thank you very much.
And one more thing, how about separating the road records from the neutral records? Oh, yeah. That's right. The big boys don't play any OOC road games.

remember in the past few years when the MWC started getting at least 3 teams into the tournament? the seeds we would get were about 7, 10, 11. Last year the MWC got a 3, 7, 8, and 11 seeds. Now on SI.com and ESPN.com the projections are 2, 3, 8 and 2, 2, 7....
respect is coming...

He's talking out of both sides of his mouth by noting how much better our road/neutral record is and then saying that Ohio State and Kansas are better teams because of their margin of victory. Well, yeah, of course they have a larger margin of victory, if SDSU played as few road/neutral games as those two and instead played them at Viejas arena, our margin of victory would be much better as well.

Kansas is 7-0 R/N but I think his point is that he thinks they are better teams and is not dismissing SDSU at all. Hard to really argue that.

I could do without the "TCU of the basketball world" reference?

I could do without the "TCU of the basketball world" reference? I think Lunardi from ESPN also use it in a blog entry...

Before we argue about who's #1 in the nation, we need to settle who's #1 in the Mountain West.

Even though the national media is, I think WE should hold off on #1 seed talk until after January 26th.

I'd rather be called the TCU of basketball than this year's Butler.
