I mean, of course we do. But I'm bored, waiting for the pizza to get here and just musing about the season arc that is sdsu. We've won early, won on the road, won at home, won ugly, won butt-ugly, won pretty, won with guys hurt and at full strength. We've done our due diligence.
Now I'm talking about odds and percentages. We obviously want to win the conference and want the best seed we can get. But in the name of percentages it might not be bad if we drop a game somewhere.
Please don't get me wrong. I don't want us to lose or hope we lose. I want to win every game in every sport sdsu suits up for.
I've just seen team go undefeated all year and lose when it hurts the most. I want our team poised for a deep NCAA run. A good seed is super important to that.
Is it in our best interest to run the table or not?

They always say its good to lose before the tourney so you don't go in overconfident. So if that makes us more prepared .. then yes. The last thing we need this year is to go in undefeated and overconfident and lose in the 2nd round.
A more realistic question is ...
go in undefeated and lose in sweet 16? or go in with 3-4 losses and lose in the final 4?

Yes. Winning the National Championship has been the team's goal since day 1.

Yes. More wins=Better Seed=Favorable Match-ups. I'm sure the team would agree.
I don't believe losing is something you just get out of your system (lose now so we don't lose in March).
Although its unlikely, I'd like the see the team win every game they play. It's wild this is still possible this late into the season.

Aside from seeding, the longer we go undefeated, the more we're talked about around the nation, the more exposure to potential recruits.

Get by this weekend and we have a real shot at going into the tourney a No 1 seed and undefeated. Not likely however. This is a really fun year.

Good question (Will this question ever be raised again in our lifetime,or...?): This season's winning streak and undefeated record is not too unlike owning that first NEW car.At first we're very careful where we park it because we don't want it dinged by some moron throwing his doors out or some grocery cart scraping it,etc, but when the inevitable happens after some idiot does christen it with a nice ding,we finally exhale and release all that pent up angst we've been accruing and move on.This is what is going on right now. I'm stressing out about the game on the 26th and wondering whether the team will stay undefeated (un-dinged in other words).Would a loss really be all that bad,and like that car analogy, wouldn't a "ding" just serve as a needed relief valve of sorts, thereby mitigating all that stored stress and pressure? Wouldn't it be beneficial for me,other stressed out fans, and possibly the team,to have at least a couple of losses under our belts as we enter the conference tournament, and then the Dance? Wouldn't a loss or two compel us and the team to regroup, relearn, and recharge? Na-a-a-a-w-w-w-w,bring on the stress.I rather like new cars without dings.

40-0 Baby!
No way that I want them to loose. I'd rather have them learn from some really crappy W's than taking a loss. We want a high seed.
