Interesting! My personal observation of the large block of Russians and Ukrainians in the Seattle area is that they are organized, motivated, independent and Conservative.
They come in and get good advice about initial support programs, get on their feet quickly and more on with jobs or business.

My next-door neighbor is from the Ukraine...an Engineer and former Soviet soldier...he too is a conservative and is always working...even his 85 year-old mother is working in their yard....incredible work ethic. He claims most of his family side strongly with conservatives and generally register as Republicans. He has some rather strongg opinions about the Left in America. Makes for great conversation. Came here legally and followed the process to eventually become a naturalized citizen....still trying to bring other family members to America but the waiting process is lengthy, but he is committed to doing it the right way!
