One thing that troubles me about this article is that it says nothing about the 5 non-BCS conferences getting a nickel from the proposed FB playoff.

AzWm Interesting how non-AQ leagues were conveniently omitted. Agree borg. This article is the best one I've read thus far concerning how the entire FBS can significantly increase its revenue or in this case, the AQ leagues's revenue. This basically counters all the AQ leagues's arguments because despite what they say, it really all boils down to money. |

Yes, many have known that the only way to have a true "College Champion" in Div. 1, and really increase your income was thru a playoff. The earning potential is astronomical! I wonder where some of these BCS gurus actually got their education, and could they really be that naive, or are they just stubborn imbeciles? Losing over $500Billion a year!  As they say..... MONEY TALKS!  ;D |

It sounds to me like the MWC, WAC, MAC, Conf USA are going to get screwed. These guys should band together and have an end of the year tournament without the BCS or its greedy rabble.

Tell ya what - maybe they should band together, dump the NCAA and look at changing the rules for recruiting, getting kids summer jobs and booster involvement. Don't know how much it would help, given that I seriously suspect that if it comes to 4 super conferences the NCAA will be dumped by them and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see football players getting paychecks. =Bob |

If we get left in the cold again..then we should do whatever it takes to combat them...by doing exactly what you said. The NCAA can go kick rocks. |
