Get ready for a 7-5 or 6-6 season if we don't get a top notch OC. We got tons of money from Hoke buyout, Pointsietta bowl, Ron Fowler, BCS bowl from TCU so there is no excuse to find a top notch OC. My hope are listed below.
1. Chow 1a. Friedgen 2. Any Bill Walsh disciples(West Coast Offense)
Please no Bob Toledo..Meh ...Meh

I think Toledo is o.k. Is he still coach at Tulane? I don't see whats so great about Chow. He hasn't done $#!+ at UCLA and is being let go. What's so great about him? Look at who he had at USC. Chuck Long could of done what Chow did there.

We run the Coryell/Zampese West Coast Offense and Bob Toledo is well versed in it so I wouldn't be dissapointed with his hiring. Chow has too long of a history of success to blame him for the shenanigans going on in Westwood. He has to be target #1.

Also I'm hoping he's checking out Kyle Whittingham's MO when it comes to running an offense. Same goes for Rocky actually.
Which guy will give him the bigger opportunity to freelance? That's very important to any OC.

Lindley could be the OC and next years team would go 6-6.

thoght some of the money was suppose to go to some of the assistant coaches- (Ron Fowler's donation) who can recruit-recruit- recruit - or at least high school guys would want to come here to play for- maybe some of the NFL - football alums could assist Rocky with an idea for a candidate or two

I’ve been unavailable for a few days but I though Chow was going to Utah.

I would have been happy if we could have kept Borges and Long. Hoke was a good coach with a very good staff. I still think he should have won 6 games last year and gone to a bowl. And I was not that impressed with his recruiting. If Rocky Long can get a good OC and some assistants that can RECRUIT then the team could be better in the future than they would have been with Hoke.

Chuck Long brought in a few good linemen. I am not as positively convinced that Hoke was bringing in kids who would grade out as Above Average in their Junior and Senior years. That remains to be seen.
Sipe understands offense, and could handle the OC responsibility with ease. He would be a very capable OC. My major worry is who is recruiting the linemen? You build winning teams with properly recruited lines. As Tollner proved, you build consistently losing teams with poorly recruited lines.
It is usually won or lost in the trenches.

There is no way they are going to pay him to go there and I'm not sure UU is going to pay a new rival. So , Chow is going to have to agree to just rip up the contract. Ican't believe a getting on up there chow is going to oversee changing from spread option to pro style. but who knows anymore

Lindley could be the OC and next years team would go 6-6. Classic. But if you made Lindley the QB Coach and Hillman the OC, the team would go at least 8-4.

I don't know whether Bob Toldedo would be a good OC, but in any case he's still HC at Tulane. At least for another year.
