brandon heath = more clutch than dj. Junior Brandon Heath > DJ Gay Senior Brandon Heath < DJ Gay +1 this is probably the truth. Heath was looking towards adjusting his game for NBA $$ and it cost him. Heath had a nasty running floater. Instant offense. DJ is just solid all around and does not make the same sort of mental mistakes Heath did. Heath was twice the defender DJ was, but DJ plays a controlled smart game within himself.

I just like to remember each of the stars at the time that they played.
Al Faux was crucial at the time that he played. Heath won so many games for us. Gay is phenomenal. Happy memories from all of them and so many more.

Both are (were) clutch in different ways. I loved Faux when he was here, but now is D.J.'s time.
D.J. is a unique point guard. He is not as skilled as some others in making the dribble penetration play (though he can do it and has done at clutch moments), or the spectacular pass inside. But, the good side of that is he makes far fewer turnovers than the flashier PG's. His steady hand has been key to the team this season.
It has been amazing this year the way he has proved to be a run stopper. Right when the opposing team seems to have the Aztecs on their heels, D.J. hits the big 3 or drives to the hoop to start the momentum rolling the other direction. He also does not sit and still delivers.
Then, in the post game interviews, he speaks like the bright, humble team captain that he is, a perfect complement to Coach Fisher, classy, humble, yet confident.

It also seems like he has really gained a lot of confidence as a team manager on the court. Last year and even early this year he seemed kind of timid calling the shots on the court, but now he is unarguably THE leader on the court.

Regardless of whether DJ is more clutch than Faux, there is one thing about him that is tops during the Fisher era.
DJ is the best during Fisher's reign at minimizing turnovers, despite being a primary ball handler, and while still making a substantial number of big plays. His clutch shots and assists per turnover, combined with all of the minutes he provides on defense and the amount of time he has the ball, makes him the most trustworthy/productive guard during Fisher era.

Al faux played with the contents of his wallet in his sock, and never took a scholarship. Al faux > DJ, though not by much, and if dj wins games in the NCAA tourney with late shots, I will change my answer
