Al Faux had always been a clutch player. Making the plays and hitting the 3's when the team needed.
The Oracle has always had much respect for Al Faux, but DJ is just on another level. Everytime the team needs DJ, he always shows up, never fails the team, and always hits the important shots.
To date, DJ is the most clutch player in SDSU history.

He misses them early and then sinks every one down the stretch. Crazy. But I'll take it.

Fauxy hit big shots down the stretch - DJ hits big momentum shots: DJ quiets runs. He hit 2 or 3 3s in the first half when the Aztecs were only up 1. Dj plays 39 minutes and 40 seconds or so and has one turnover.

That 3/4 court shot before the half was brutal, epic, just...sublime.

Plus DJ shut down that ugly, primma donna guard for the loblows...until late when he hit four late...

DJ plays on a much better team than Faux did which makes what he does stand out even more.

I love DJ, but no one is more clutch than Faux.

brandon heath = more clutch than dj. No. Just took more shots. Plus, clutch does not = dribbling the ball off your own foot in a tourney game we were going to win.

Blasphemy, Faux was money. So money, he was swinger money.
DJ is damn good and btw so is Tape.
Those guys stepped up to carry the front court.

Sorry, but DJ has hit more shots in more meaningful games by far than either Faux or Heath. Never thought I'd be saying that two years ago. But the facts can no longer be denied. Faux never had a game like DJ just turned in today. Don't think Heath ever did, either.
And trust me, I'm a Faux/Heath honk from way back. I was less than impressed with DJ over his first year-and-a-half. Then I was lukewarm about him. I didn't become a convert until the second half of last season. Now I think he's one of the most under-rated players in the country.

Easy solution to this argument - SDSU is 19-0 with DJ Gay.

No....Faux was almost not human when it came to clutch time.

different time different player, State was at a different level and time with Al Faux. DJ Gay is a perfect example of the type of player Fisher likes to recruit. The main thing about the players that play for Fisher is they understand the basic concept of Team ball.

No....Faux was almost not human when it came to clutch time. Yeah, and that 3/5ths-court shot at the buzzer before the half was human? 5 straight treys at the Pit -- that's human? Sorry, but DJ is stone-cold.

I don't see this as close. Biggest game = biggest stage= brightest lights= best dj performance. I loved Al Faux and his game but dj is my all-time favorite.

DJ never comes out of the game. The kid plays Ironman basketball.
No comparison, sorry.

The Pit - is home court for DJ
for Heath - it was UNLV's
for the Fox-man - it was where ever they had a basket nailed to the wall.
