Yet another professional athlete who played a few years too long, was quite sad to watch. Safe to say that if Bell was the closer Pads would have gone to the playoffs in '07.
Although can't be too hard on Trev, Hells Bells will always have a special place in my heart :-)

I had not heard he will be working for the Pads...Great idea....Totally agree that Bell should have been closer in Trevor's last season.

Trevor had an all-star season in 2009 with the Brewers (ERA 1.83, 37 Saves) I wonder how long it'll take for the Pads to but a big 51 on atop the batters eye at Petco.

Mariano Rivera is 41 years old and 42 saves behind Trevor on the all time list. He had 33 saves last year. This has been a long time race against time for both men - who will be the all time saves when they both retire. Odds have to be with Rivera now. He may have to wait until he is 42 in the 2012 season but he hasn't shown any sign of slowing down - YET.
