He was the greatest basketball coach of all time - and truly a class act.
Hell, hey may have been the greatest coach of all time in any sport at any level. A strong argument could certainly be made in his favor...

Not only the greatest coach of all time, but one of the greatest men as well! Couldn't think of a better name for my son, which is why we named him Charles(my grandpa) Wooden(obvious)

If you click on dshawfan's link above and click on the "John Wooden love letters" video link, it may be one of the best tear-jerkers, a man who lost his wife almost 25 years ago saying that he is not afraid of dying, looking forward to reunite with Nell.
Here's hoping HBO replays one of their best documentaries, "the UCLA dynasty" soon. The clips of all of these basketball greats showing the proper way to put on their socks is priceless.
Saying they broke the mold with him would be an understatement...
